Wall street is one of he most famous street in USA. it is located at Manhattan.
Its a historic street as many financial institutions are situated over there it is a symbol of commerce and backbone of America(according to me). It is a street which has a huge impact over the American Economy. Many people use the term “Wall Street” as a shorthand for trading and commerce

Now i guess u must have known wat it is? The main purpose of this thread was to start and disscussion about this as u can see at america is in recessioan and many financial companies which were said to have good financial muscle are down and out.

While the US economy has Faced many serious challenges before and will continue to exist, the key question is whether it will retain the capacity to provide capital to innovators.
y m saying dis is cause the large brokerage firms that remain are dinosaurs, soon to become extinct or irrelevant. Their overhead and business model is firmly focused on the handful of big cap stocks that provide sufficient profit margins. These are the stocks that institutional investors want and are willing to pay for. Unfortunately, these are not the firms that will provide the next generation of new ideas, jobs and profits.

so wats ur take on it waiting eagerl for all of ur responses and plz dont reply in one liners give a brief

The thing is, the US is expecting the $700bn bailout proposal to be passed by the senate today and if it is passed there will be a huge sigh of relief for all the markets whether capital or money market. And if it gets passed then definitely the US will show some signs of strength in the economy and better data can be expected.

But if it does'nt then there are chances that there will a much bigger and worst picture for the financial markets and the chances to provide capital to innovators will be dim.

So it all depends on the today's bailout proposal .....just pray that it gets passed in the parliament otherwise expect a sorry figure for the US.

$700bn bailout wont be sufficient for the investment banks there.
Moreover this has worst affected other countries too (India being one among them)
