IS PART TIME MBA IS WORTH?

Often in anyone's career there is a point when you feel that you should do MBA after your graduation, the same has happened to me.
My growth in my organization became stagnant, as in IT company you have to face this today or tomorrow then i planed to do MBA in IT(SCIT,Pune) and today when i passed out from there then my growth is 3 times what i was earlier.
This has happened to me because of the decision that i took to do executive MBA.

Part-Time MBA may seem to have no value but if coupled with your work-experience it really makes a difference. A person who has opted for a part-time MBA has the advantage of applying what he/she learns on a day-to-day basis. So in terms of increasing your work-efficiency, this course really makes sense.

I've heard that Welingkar Institute of Management offers Part-Time Masters Degree Program. You can the details at welingkar.org

If you don't want to take a job-hiatus for studying a full-time MBA, then a Part-Time MBA makes sense. The benefit you'll have is that you can apply all that you've learnt in the class on a real time basis. This will help you create a niche for yourself. Besides a part-time MBA is a good backup that will definitely help you in your career. If you plan to pursue an MBA, make sure that it's from a good institute. If you can, try applying to an institute like Welingkar which has a great faculty and a good infrastructure to support its students.

Part time MBA is good if you are working profession or have 3 to 4 yrs experience in the specific filed because this certification help to get promotion. The company will ask what you have done during mba program.

For non-working candidate or student part time is not suitable, if this type of candidate doing the course that means simply wasting money and time.:SugarwareZ-204:

Yes as it gives one an opportunity to learn while gathering industry experience. Some institutes provide you quality online lectures or weekend lectures. Relevant job experience helps to grow faster.

First of all it is essential to understand why you are interested to do a MBA course. Then comes whether you will do a full-time or a part-time. In most cases, executives and other professionals prefer to do part-time or distant MBA courses.

Are you doing job? Do you want to do a management course? Then, why are you so worried? You can easily opt for executive education which is run in top business schools in India. Choose the subject as per your interest and see how it benefits or boosts your career. In that case, you do not have to go for part-time courses. Instead a full-time course will be designer for you but you do not have to attend classrooms for that. Isn't this interesting?

Part time MBA is one of the emerging trends these days.It gives you an opportunity where you can work as well as continue your studies. There are many good colleges in India offering Distance MBA courses.I have heard a lot about CCE these days. The college is known for offering distance courses. CCE at the University of Petroleum & Energy Studies, Dehradun offers itself as a centre of excellence for accessing quality education through "Distance Learning Mode".

MBA is a degree. It does not matter you get it after reading full time or part time?
Just achieve your goad and go ahead.

I think....... With the part timer, a busy executive gets the convenience of timings, is able to pursue his study and can also balance his work vs family life, not forego a year (in case of 1 yr MBA) or a couple of years (in case of a 2 yr MBA) of earnings and not to neglect an important factor.....he develops fabulous industry-wide contacts since his batchmates are also experienced guys like him. Once he completes his MBA, he has the name tag (assuming it to be a good university or a institute only) as well as years of experience to back him. A whole gamut of oppotunities are open to such guys.....

Yes your are 100% rite Mr.Jay..

Hello Ketan,

I feel part time is worth if you do it from a good institute and if you have around 3 years of experience.
Also i wont suggest to go for correspondence, if your really want to grow in your field its important to get classroom exp and implement at your work. You will find many colleges offering 3 year part time MBA courses.

Wish you all the best,
Adria
