I have read first two pages of this thread and finds that none is interested giving answer to such a simple question. Everyone is rooming round and round and nobody understands the myth and the fact about marriage.
Myth
1. It is necessary because your dad has done
2. It will help you in future.
3. It will make you one soul with two bodies.
4. It is necessary so that you can concentrate on other activities.
5. It will realize you your duties.
Fact
1. My dad has done because he wants to give me his name and don't want to remain alone after the age when he is not able to do work hard for livelihood.
2.After marriage every problem has to face two walls i.e. Men and Women although any one of them is the only culprits who is inviting troubles but still if the problem arises then each and every one finds solution with different dimension.
3. After Marriage two different sexes come together for the first time officially in eyes of social life and make a meaningful relation i.e. Sex. According to Indian context people will approve men and women relationship only after they get married. They can officially make love as and when they need.
4. Every living thing in this earth needs three main things in life i.e. Food Sex and Sleep. If any of these things is not getting by any one of living thing then he/she will get mentally imbalanced. But as far as humans are concerned one more important thing they need is mental love. After getting marriage one has to concentrate only of money earning. if he/she is earning proper amount of money which is enough for him and his family then he/she will enjoy each and every moment of life. He will get Love Sex Sleep and food from his partner and can live life like king size.
5. Some times man or women try to run from their duties towards his/her own family, Society, State and Nation. If a person marries then he will realize that there is no way but to earn if he wants to keep his partner and children happy. Then he will work hard and smart. Here actually he is fulfilling the duties of Sates and Nation by paying Tax and he will again fulfill his duty towards society after realizing family need and understanding how important the Society for him and his family

As per my view marriage is necessary for some instant where one can take their responsibilty with himself/herself and get there life a vision of their duty.

i knw dat relatnshps cum wit an expiry date per then wen u r married atleast d guy takes ur responsiblity,,not like ne live-in cum,sleep n 4get..
hw 4ward v may b in r thots but still we live in this SOCIETY,,werin v dnt wanna take a risk of loosin r reputatn..

It's all about,how good the understanding is in between the two. If u feel that u both understand one another very well then there is no matter of marriage and if both don't understand then also there is no matter of marriage.

THOUGH ONE CANNOT SAY MARRIAGE IS ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY BUT ONE WILL BE BETTER OFF IN THE LONG RUN IF HE MARRIES.THING IS THAT BY THE TIME YU GET OLD THERE IS NOONE TO ACRE ABOUT YOU.AND YOU FEEL SO LONELY.AT THAT TIME THE HEART CRIES FOR A COMPANION.AND THINGS LIKE HAVING GIRLFRIEND OR MARRIAGE LEADS TO OVERALL DEVELOPMENT OF THE PERSONALITY
