I think whether one wants to study in India or abroad, is a personal choice... While studying in India is much cheaper, but the reservations/quotas make the situation extremely difficult for deserving candidates.
At the same, there are many difficulties in abroad, besides funds, like racialism, too difficult to manage studies and job, etc. yet after 2 yrs of slogging the perks one gets are extra-ordinary.
Yet some people choose the former, and some the latter, depending on one's liking.
