Is it correct to blame the Govt for the fuel price hike?

Everywhere, everyone is playing the blame game of pointing fingers @ the Govt for this fuel price hike. The fuel price hike is not bcos of the Govt.Letz do some introspection to find the reason for real price hike.

1.Almost 1000 vehicles are getting registered everyday in one major city in India.Think about the no.of vehicles getting registered all over India in one day.

2.Ppl don't want to walk not even 1 Km.They take the bike to drink tea in the nearby Tea shop.

3.Almost in all the signals vehicles are standing for almost 2 mins with the engine ON.Its consuming a lot of fuel.

The main reason for the fuel hike is WE and not the Govt.In any part of the world when the above things happen, there will be an increase in the fuel hike.No wonder about that.Needless to say about the speculation in the oil industry which is driving up the prices.

My 2 cents:
I kindly request everyone to think twice before starting your vehicle. If you can use other means of transport please use it.Use your vehicle only in case of emergency. This way we can save some fuel. This is the best way to pull down the prices of fuel.

it's true that it is global issue, but govt has to reduce there taxes on fuel and to compensate it increase on liquor and cigrattes

Our govt. is keen on working for conserving resources. Plans are mostly ready but the toughest part is there implementation with commitment

i think it is we as citizens that should start implementing measures that will provide the necessary benefits.

all the posts, media, are adding to the blame that each one is passing.

the government is for guidance and control.

if we start implementing instead of going against by way of agitation, then we are wasting our time.

a small step today by even person will lead to a big leap in the time to come by.

No it is not correct to blame the government. However government should look at option of tax rationalization at state level to keep fuel prices under control and prevent undesired levels of inflation.

govt can provide protection from global crude oil price fluctuation only upto a reasonable extent , ater that, it becomes very costly affair of providing crores of subsidy when that money can be used for more basic needs of common people.

so its totally unfair to blame govt. for fuel price hikes

sorry dude, govt. may provide some subsidies but the taxes are way more than that on fuel. also at the time of high inflation rate, govt didnot decrease the price of fuel when it was really important for the control of price hike.
vehicles are increasing on the roads because of the poor public transport facilities. if govt is able to provide good transport facilities, people will definitely use it. delhi metro is a very good example of that. parkings are flooded with cars and so is the metro train.

I think we as a citizen should also see the purchasing power of an individual, and income generated per head ie per capita income which is also rising so as against other price rise hence no complaints.........

We shouldnt blame the govt. in the fuel price hike, we are also responsible for it, our country isnt like the middle east and our max imports is oil and fuels, so if the govt. has increased the price it is cause they dont want the country to be more in deficit than it already. Yes corruption plays a role in increasing the prices but that goes on a diff topic .

it's true that it is global issue, but govt has to reduce there taxes on fuel and to compensate it increase on liquor and cigrattes...

Increase in the fuel cost ultimately gives rise to the price hike of most of goods,Goverment should take the responsibilty

no...it should be decided by the global rate....they shoudl reduce the tax on petrol and disel which is around 50% in teh current price.
