According to me, customer is the real king for the manufacturers. Because all companies are based on the customer requirements so many companies are run based on customer profit.

Prateek, what you have suggested is business nirvana. However, it might be a little difficult to achieve, unless the company invests heavily into social media interaction with potential customers. Also, engaging customers on a daily basis with funny updates can be a great way of doing that. In fact, have you seen the Facebook page of Skittles? Now that’s the kind of engagement that I feel can transform customers into friends. What’s your opinion?

Arindom, I just saw the skittles page. Thanks for sharing.. I was real happy to see 24 million fans.

I couldn't quite get their updates though. Maybe coz they are all just for kids ?

Customer is king and you should always please him by doing whatever he expects of you. If it means acting as a friend, so be it ;)
