We are delighted to inform you that the International Conference on Brand
Management successfully enters the first stage of its post-launch phase.
Institute of Management Technology, Ghaziabad (IMT-G), has received an
overwhelming response in its first phase of the launch of the Conference
from across the world. The trigger for this conference, as you know, was the
emerging importance of brand creation coupled with sustenance of successful
commercial brands. Although brands were developed as labels of ownership
like name, term, design; today brand is what they do for people that matters
much more, how they reflect and engage them, how they define their
aspiration and enable them to do more.
In the present turbulent marketing scenario, brands are created, positioned
and repositioned through various processes like Brand Semiotics, Brand
Communities, Brand Personality, Brand Endorsement, Corporate Social
Responsibility, Green Marketing, etc.This conference looks at the changing
dynamics in the international branding scenario and the drivers that shape
the brand architecture. Moreover, this platform aims to create synergy
between the branding fraternity in the industry and academics. The
conference comes at a time when the Indian market is being explored as a
destination for various global brands.
The conference aims to provide a forum to present and discuss various
branding tools and models, current trends and dynamics in global branding;
as also to facilitate sharing research based knowledge among academicians
and practitioners on contemporary areas of Brand Management.
The Conference is scheduled from November 21-22, 2008 at the IMT campus.
IMT, Ghaziabad, apart from being rated as one of the top 10 B-schools in the
country, is located in the Industrial hub of Uttar Pradesh and India's
emerging centre for the upcoming malls and the real estate industry.
Ghaziabad is one of the fastest growing cities in the country. A part of the
National Capital Region (NCR), Ghaziabad is located at a distance of about
19kms from Delhi. In this part of India, October- November happens to be the
most tourist friendly season too and the air is filled with festivities.
Sales, in various product categories, are the highest during this quarter.
This kind of an environment gives the perfect setting for brainstorming on
"Brand" which is what the conference strives to achieve.
