Seattle-based CEO Dan Price announced he was raising the minimum wage in his company Gravity Payments to at least $70,000 (£47,000) by 2017. You might ponder about that it could be the best decision by one of the best CEO but it went against Dan, its two most valuable employees quit, thinking that this decision is unfair to loyal employees.

The New York Times had an interview with Dan to know more about the matter and also asked former financial planner Maisey McMaster about why she left. “He gave raises to people who have the least skills and are the least equipped to do the job, and the ones who were taking on the most didn’t get much of a bump,” she told paper. Another ex-employee, web developer Grant Moran told the newspaper the move "shackles high performers to less motivated team members".

Well his decision turns out to be nightmare for him when his brother Lucas sued Price considering it is imbecile decision and it will only leads to loss of the company. CEO of the company Dan Price will also receive salary of $ 70000. But, yet Dan Price does not have any regret for his decision.

“I want to fight for the idea that if someone is intelligent, hard-working and does a good job, then they are entitled to live a middle-class lifestyle," he told the NYT. He declared his employees that there will be price hike and minimum wages would be $70,000, for some employees it was 100 percent increment. His main motive was to increase the motivation among employees and even he decided move because he thinks executive pay is “way out of whack”
