hi
m doing my MBA from Pune university and my college is new too
our placement cell also has started recently
and we struggle to get companies to our campus
Can we share some ideas about how shud we do it?

see first of all its important to find out how many companies are there in your city. after that find out which of them make local recruitment. if recruitment is centralised try getting contacts of concerned people or HR department. always go with a covering letter containing details and features of your college.

you can also get the contact details from websites. get a placement brochure of any good college there you will see the names of organisations going for campus. from the list take the names and search adress of HR or contact person for recruitment through google.

placement is not at all a scary activity. it simply needs dedicated efforts

This would be gaga step but, the outcome might be positive, the probability is high.when you usually call receptionist of the one of the best multinational company and connect with HR for an inquiry about job offer but the answer is always no. You just take your curriculum vitae and directly visit to their office and ask them whether they have any vacancy. This will build impression and at least you get the clear idea about the company status and you can also meet the HR personality.
