Team spirit is one thing that can take the productivity levels to greater heights. It is also one such thing that can eliminate negativity. The outcomes that comes through a team is more effective and of worth. Teamwork is the essential key to a successful company. When everyone works together, projects get done, creativity reigns, and people actually want to come to work every day. So use these five questions to get the teamwork engine running. Both you and your customers will be glad you did.

To derive fruits from team, you can nurture this spirit by providing them the following:

Provide an environment of trust and openness, wherein qualities like cooperation & communication thrive for a longer time.

The leader has to undertake the very important task of dividing the work according to the core competency of each member.

The final goal must be identified, defined and understood by every member, so that they work in unison towards that final goal.

The mission of each individual functional department may be different, but it is absolutely essential that they understand the mission of the team as a whole.

Team members must understand how the system works and try to work within the rules of this system, so as to avoid clashes, disorganization and delays while achieving results.

A good way to ensure this is to encourage individuals to share personal information, get to know each other better and turn their attention towards group tasks.

Courtesy among members must be encouraged and each person should exercise caution while approaching and interacting with another.

A comprehensive shared pool of knowledge must be built up, by encouraging those who are more knowledgeable or skilled in different aspects of the work, to share their inputs with those who are less skilled without excessively disrupting the team’s progress.

Calculate risks, think out of the box and come up with new approaches to work is more critical today than ever.

You can offer team building training to the group as a whole & can also assign the loner a leadership role on the next project and ask the loner to report back on the team’s progress. It's common to hear new leaders complain that their employees aren't acting like a team. In these situations it is also common to see the leader doing little, if anything, to create more teamwork.

Communicate team goals clearly. When those goals are not clear, disagreements will erupt as employees try to define goals themselves. By clearly laying out goals, everyone begins in the same place and understands where the business is going. Setting reasonable deadlines is also essential.

Allow employees an occasional extended lunch to go out together and relax outside of the work environment can build understanding that will transfer back into the office and improve working relationships.

Offices run best when everyone clearly understands their responsibilities. Provide each employee with a distinct definition of his or her own responsibilities, both individually and as it relates to group projects.

I would say the performance when achieved in team. Team players not only perform excellent but set example for others to learn along with enhancing special qualities like team spirit, coordination and unity.

This helps in improvement in personal relations as well as well as the organization culture. This strengthens the base of the firm wherein the team becomes the key.
