Founded in 1747, the Ecole nationale des ponts et chaussées (ENPC) was the original Grandes Ecole d´Ingenieurs. Regarded as the most elite schools in France, the Grandes Ecoles d´Ingenieurs were established to train the country´s foremost engineers. These schools have evolved over the years, retaining nevertheless their position as the leading educational institutions in France.

Increasing emphasis on internationalisation and the importance of management training led the Ecole nationale des ponts et chaussées to establish The ENPC School of International Management in 1987. Since its inception, The ENPC School of International Management has received significant support from the mother school and been given the opportunity to duplicate its winning model overseas in Morocco and China, where the School´s Shanghai-based program has become the official ParisTech MBA in China.

In 2004, the The ENPC School of International Management reinforced further its ties to the ENPC engineering tradition by launching an MBA with a specialisation in Technology & Entrepreneurship. Not only was this initiative inspired by the school´s rich engineering heritage, but it also reflected an increasing emphasis within ENPC on the study of technology and innovation.

Today the School of International Management offers an MBA in International Management, an MBA in Technology and Entrepreneurship, a Tri-Continent MBA and an Executive MBA, plus a range of undergraduate and postgraduate level teaching and executive programs. All courses are delivered from the downtown Paris campus in the vibrant Saint-Germain des Prés quarter.

The School of International Management shares a mission with the ENPC, which is:

To develop managers and leaders who thrive in multicultural and multidisciplinary environments and who have the potential to become ‘engineers of society’.

The School´s unique pedagogical approach stems from the firm belief that in today´s world effective business leadership cannot be achieved without a strong commitment to ethical values and a comprehensive understanding of cultural diversity. All the MBA courses are therefore guided by two common teaching principles: value-based global leadership and enrichment through diversity and integration.

With over twenty years experience delivering first-class business education, the ENPC International School of Management has witnessed significant evolutions over the years to the MBA market. In particular, the individuals seeking an MBA education have become increasingly heterogeneous. As a result, the School has broadened and diversified its program offerings to meet the changing faces and needs of international business professionals.

The School currently offers six different management programs:

* Undergraduate Programs are designed to provide engineers in their 2nd and 3rd year of undergraduate study with an introduction to basic managerial and strategic concepts and tools
* The MBA in International Business offers individuals from a wide range of professional backgrounds the opportunity to acquire new skills and to boost their careers
* In addition to traditional MBA courses, the MBA in Technology & Entrepreneurship allows individuals to participate in a rich range of courses with a technological and entrepreneurial focus
* The Tri-Continent MBA takes students on a life-changing educational voyage from Paris to Philadelphia to Tokyo and Shanghai
* The Executive MBA is designed for professionals who would like to earn their MBA whilst still working
* Post-Graduate Programs are designed to provide ParisTech doctoral students with a complementary specialization.

Undergraduate -

The School of International Management at the Ecole Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées (ENPC) offers two specialized undergraduate management cycles - cTE (cycle in Technology & Entrepreneurship) and cIM (cycle in International Management) to the students of ParisTech schools.

This one-year program, open to all qualifying ParisTech students, has been specially designed to complement French engineering curricula and offer both a core curriculum in Introductory Management (Fundamentals of Management, Finance & Accounting, Marketing & Operations) and a specialization in Technology & Entrepreneurship or in International Management.

Participants will have access to the resources of the renowned ENPC School of International Management including an English-language learning environment, a multi-cultural atmosphere, specialized academic expertise, multidisciplinary studies, and an international faculty. In addition, ParisTech students, who meet all other MBA entrance requirements, can apply credits from the cTE or cIM programs towards an accelerated ENPC MBA (14 credits), instead of the usual minimum of 18 credits).

cTE: cycle in Technology & Entrepreneurship
This cycle is designed for 2nd and 3rd year engineering students from the entire ParisTech network looking to acquire general and specialized business and management skills, which will enable them to take their technical knowledge from the “lab to the market”, to develop networking and teamwork opportunities and to accelerate their path to managerial positions. More specifically, during the program, students will be taught a core curriculum of Introductory Management courses (three 30-hour courses) followed by a concentration of applied courses (four 15-hour seminars) in the areas of Technology & Entrepreneurship.

cIM: cycle in International Management
This specialization, formerly open only to ENPC students, is now open to all 2nd and 3rd year ParisTech students. cIM is designed to complement the engineering curriculum in order to enable ParisTech students to acquire general management and international business skills, to improve their English-language skills, to increase their chances of international mobility, to improve their cultural awareness and capacity to work effectively in multi-cultural teams and, finally, to develop personal networking opportunities. Throughout this program, students will be taught a core curriculum of Introductory Management courses (three 30-hour courses) followed by a specialization of applied courses (four 15-hour seminars) in the area of International Management.

Center for Excellence on Technology & Entrepreneurship

The Ecole Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées (ENPC) was established in 1747 as the world’s first civil engineering school, committed to the creation of an elite French corps of engineers. The ENPC is celebrated for having produced inventors such as Louis Vicat, the creator of ‘Grey Gold’, or cement, and Philippe Lebon, the first person to successfully use 'artificial' gas as a means of illumination on a large scale.

In continuing with this tradition, in January 2004, the ENPC School of International Management launched the Center for Excellence on Technology & Entrepreneurship. The T&E Center builds a bridge between industry and education by offering a diverse portfolio of courses, activities and events in a dynamic and supportive environment where participants feel creative.

The cornerstone of activity at the T&E Center is the MBA in Technology & Entrepreneurship which offers participants a rich selection of courses including Innovation Management, IT and e-Business, Strategic Creativity, Competitive Intelligence and Technology Transfer, Marketing of High-Tech Products, Venture Capital/Entrepreneurial Finance, Technology Management, Business Planning, Entrepreneurial Leadership, and Performance Assessment and valuation of Innovative Enterprises. The ENPC MBA is today the only international MBA program in France offering a specialization in Technology & Entrepreneurship.
