Does God exist or is he a man-made creation?

Definitely there exit GOD.... Just think who is managing this life cycle.

GOD only gives us power to live this life....

Thus as far as i believe GOD is there 1000%

here are a number of different ways to argue against the existence of gods (known as atheological arguments). Some start from the claimed characteristics of this god and others start from reality - but most end up converging. In the end, the argument is that the god which is said to exist is either incompatible with reality or is incompatible with itself (because its claimed characteristics conflict). Either way, then that god cannot exist. Such an argument cannot exclude all possible gods, but it can exclude quite a few popular gods.

A Perfect Creator?
Many theists believe that their god is both creator of the universe and that it is a perfect being. However, perhaps these two qualities are incompatible. Could it be that a perfect being would not also create, or that any being which would create must also not be perfect?

Omniscience
A common attribute of people's gods is that they are "omniscient" - all knowing. Does this attribute make any sense? Can it exist? Is it compatible with other attributes which people tend to assign to their gods?

Who Made God?
The question "Who made God" is commonly used to argue against the existence of the sort of god traditionally believed in by Christians, Jews, Muslims, and many other monotheists. Strictly speaking, this isn't an independent argument because it is not offered on its own. Instead, it is used as a rebuttal to the claim that our universe is too complex and intricate not to have been designed.

Definition of the word "god"

To prove the non-existence of god we first need to define the word "god". When christians talk about god they mean an almighty being. This, I think, is the only god that holds, since it is the only god that can be logically justified.

I think it makes most sense if god is female, because only women can give life. Something that even people in the Stone Age understood. Later when wars affected the cultural evolution, and men took control of society, god became male, but the female god still lives on in the expression "Mother earth". It should also be pointed out that an omnipotent god must be either androgyne or sexless. However, in most religions god is male so I will refer to god as 'he', 'him' etc.

Some people (Einstein for instance) believe in a god who is not a personal god, but a Spinozan kind of god. I claim that this god is not a god! To say that god is universe - by getting knowledge of the universe we get knowledge of god - is to redefine the meaning of the word god. This has nothing to do with the word god as it was defined by the "primitive" cultures which preceded our present civilization. He can be excluded with Occam's razor, and most important: Such a god does not hear prayers.

If god is not omnipotent there is nothing that prevents him from being a product of the universe. If that is the case, what makes god divine? Then god would only be an alien, a being of matter; probably containing flesh, blood and DNA like all life we know of. Everything god is able to do would be things that human beings also will be able to do, all his knowledge would be knowledge we will also achieve. In fact humans would be gods, which should lead to some strange kind of humanism!

Many people justify their faith with god as an explanation. What is the meaning of life? Where does time and space come from? Who created the physical constants? et cetera. Because we lack knowledge of these things - and maybe never will, since they are questions like "what is the color of a second?" or "how does sound taste?" - god is there as an explanation.

Let's say that god is the meaning of life, what then is the meaning of god? If god has a nature, who created that nature? If god created time and space, how can god exist without it? Since creation is an event in time, how could god create time? and who created god? To answer these questions god must be almighty, or else you can't explain them. In fact you can if you say god stands above time and space and so on (which he indeed does if he is almighty), but to be able to prevent god from being tied to future phenomena, you must give him the quality of omnipotence so he can stand above everything.

Pretty hard topic... but for me, good is a man-made creation, like the goodnes of our ancestors, egyptians, mayans, and the goods they've created. Maybe in 1000 years our goods and some of our beliefs will be obsolete.

This has been a topic of debate since time immemmorial. I feel, the fact that most ethiests end up being ardent believers of god, leaves little room for any doubt. Swami Vivekananda is an excellent example. And personally, I do believe in god... maybe not exactly as Rama, Allah or Father In Heaven.... but .. there sure is some force which influences our lives & events.

No, i dont agree.. God is not man-made..

They exist in our beliefs, in our thoughts... basically they lies in our deeds... which provide us the way and direction in life to move ahead...

well 8i believe thts ths topic will go on & on... but onething is for sure tht its all about ones belief.. if a person believes that there is some force required to make a difference between a liing body and a dead body... then that force is definitely controlled by someone which i call is GOD

For those who say, god does not exists. have you ever seen sky, but its there. and for people who say, god exists. its just an hope to rely on him in bad times. we always think of god in bad times, does any1 remembers in good times.

Every human posses some Godly and some animal attitude..those who show anything abundance is considered God or Demon...We human use only 0.7% of our thinking with brain..i think there were some who possessed Godly nature and were so called "GOD"..i think esp and some omnipotent or super natural things can be possible, of-course evolution is unknown mystery..but these change from time to time..if u believe in god there is else no...
For me i lean towards existence of God so that i can have some positive feeling and some good force around me..

GOD. My view on this is, is a man-made, to civilise the human beings and control them by making them believe there is an ultimate power above all of us. God is a fictionary ruler of all.
