Does God exist or is he a man-made creation?

ohhh...thanks manthan..even i m surprised to learn that my answers amaze u. The story dat u gave is fantastic... but y dont u mention dat that d student is ABDUL KALAM

hey i wasnt aware that this student was APJ Abdul Kalam..... thanks 4 the info.............

Ofcrs God do exist...Its not the man-made creation..all things in the world are destines and is in the God and i have a firm belief in God

It depends on the person, how he thinks. If the person belives in god then there is god form him and vice versa

i think god exist everywhere he is not just a man made creation.
if it was so then how adam was the first man on earth how did he come here on earth. how the whole human race is surviving on the face of earth since time immemorial.
science has developed so much in recent times, but it doesn't have answer about...how was the universe before big bang. for sure its something supernatural who has been taking care of everything, and he will take care of us till the day of resurrection.
I'll end my post stating qualities of god to be a god. From "The Holy Quran"

"he is god, the one
he is the self sufficient master, whom all creatures need (he neither eats nor drinks)
he begets not, nor was He begotten
and there is no equal or comparable unto him"

god is the name of divine power which is invisible but exist.........
earlier man used to worship in the name of god, but now a days, man has created the god for terrifying others...........
some people r creating the confusion .....
but still the invisible force(GOD) works it his way......

well Drishya u dnt stop to amaze me with ur answers....
heres asmall story on existence of GOD hope u ppl like it n learn sumthing 4m it...go ahead n read it.......

AN INTERESTING DIALOGUE ABOUT GOD AND SCIENCE
AN INTERESTING DIALOGUE ABOUT GOD AND SCIENCE... MUST READ IT PLZZZZZ
An atheist professor of philosophy speaks to his class on the problem science
has with God, The Almighty. He asks one of his new Muslim students to stand
and.....

Professor: You are a Muslim, aren't you, son?
Student : Yes, sir.
Prof: So you believe in God?
Student : Absolutely, sir.
Prof: Is God good?
Student : Sure.
Prof: Is God all-powerful?
Student : Yes.
Prof: My brother died of cancer even though he prayed to God to heal him. Most
of us would attempt to help others who are ill. But God didn't.How is this God
good then? Hmm?
(Student is silent.)
Prof: You can't answer, can you? Let's start again, young fella
(Fellah - and also a peasant in an Arabic-speaking country, esp. in Egypt.[1]).
Is God good?
Student :Yes.
Prof: Is Satan good?
Student : No.
Prof: Where does Satan come from?
Student : From...God...
Prof: That's right. Tell me son, is there evil in this world?
Student : Yes.
Prof: Evil is everywhere, isn't it? And God did make everything.
Correct?
Student : Yes.
Prof: So who created evil?
(Student does not answer.)
Prof: Is there sickness? Immorality? Hatred? Ugliness?
All these terrible things exist in the world, don't they?
Student :Yes, sir.
Prof: So, who created them?
(Student has no answer.)
Prof: Science says you have 5 senses you use to identify and observe the world
around you. Tell me, son...Have you ever seen God?
Student: No, sir.
Prof: Tell us if you have ever heard your God?
Student : No , sir.
Prof: Have you ever felt your God, tasted your God, smelt your God?
Have you ever had any sensory perception of God for that
matter?
Student : No, sir. I'm afraid I haven't.
Prof: Yet you still believe in Him?
Student : Yes.
Prof: According to empirical, testable, demonstrable protocol, science say your
GOD doesn't exist. What do you say to that, son?
Student : Nothing. I only have my faith.
Prof: Yes. Faith. And that is the problem science has.
Student : Professor, is there such a thing as heat?
Prof: Yes.
Student : And is there such a thing as cold?
Prof: Yes.
Student : No sir. There isn't.
(The lecture theatre becomes very quiet with this turn of events.)
Student : Sir, you can have lots of heat, even more heat, superheat, mega heat,
white heat, a little heat or no heat. But we don't have anything called cold. We
can hit (-) 458 degrees below zero which is no heat, but we can't go any further
after that. There is no such thing as cold. Cold is only a word we use to
describe the absence of heat. We cannot measure cold. Heat is energy. Cold is
not the opposite of heat, sir, just the absence of it.There is pin-drop silence
in the lecture theatre.)
Student : What about darkness, Professor? Is there such a thing as darkness?
Prof: Yes. What is night if there isn't darkness?
Student : You're wrong again, sir. Darkness is the absence of something. You can
have low light, normal light, bright light, flashing light....But if you have no
light constantly, you have nothing and it's called darkness, isn't it? In
reality, darkness isn't. If it were, you would be able to make darkness
darker,wouldn't you?
Prof: So what is the point you are making, young man?
Student : Sir, my point is your philosophical premise is flawed.
Prof: Flawed? Can you explain how?
Student : Sir, you are working on the premise of duality.
You argue there is life and then there is death, a good
God and a bad God. You are viewing the concept of God as something
finite, something we can measure. Sir, science can't even explain athought. It
uses electricity and magnetism, but has never seen, much less fully under stood
either one. To view death as the opposite of
life is to be ignorant of the fact that death cannot exist as a substantive
thing. Death is not the opposite of life: just the absence of it. Now tell me,
Professor. Do you teach your students that they evolved from a monkey?
Prof: If you are referring to the natural evolutionary process, yes,of course, I
do.
Student : Have you ever observed evolution with your own eyes, sir?
(The Professor shakes his head with a smile, beginning to realize where the
argument is going.)
Student : Since no one has ever observed the process of evolution at work and
cannot even prove that this process is an on-going endeavor, are you not
teaching your opinion, sir? Are you not a scientist but a preacher?
(The class is in uproar.)
Student : Is there anyone in the class who has ever seen theProfessor's brain?
(The class breaks out into laughter.)
Student : Is there anyone here who has ever heard the Professor's brain, felt
it, touched or smelt it?.....No one appears to have done so.
So, according to the established rules of empirical, stable, demonstrable
protocol, science says that you have no brain, sir. With all due respect, sir,
how do we then trust your lectures, sir?
(The room is silent. The professor stares at the student, his face unfathomable.
Prof: I guess you'll have to take them on faith, son.
Student : That is it sir.. The link between man & god is FAITH.That is all that
keeps things moving & alive.

Really amazing!!!
U know the question still remains unanswered but i will say it depends on an Individual and his belief wat he wants to beleive!!!

But I qould like to add those people who fail in life n blame it on god r losers big time!!!!
If u fail accept ur mistake n try harder next time n den see how god helps u!!!

yuppp !!!!! i belive god still in dis world ......cozzz i hv seen my self god ....frm a distance ...so der is nthin sch man creation ..!!!!!!!!!!!!!

god is nothing more only the combination of all good qualities, a general man also can be god but if he have all the qualities
in the same way a devil is combination of all bad work

Just like most things around us, man has made the concept of god for his convenience. He needs someone to blame when things go wrong and heap accolades on when things go right!!!!!!!!!!

whether god exsists or not.. the belief in a higher power prevents many untoward incidents and also gives us courage to be consistent wen faced with difficult situations.

well.......d topic is totally subjective ^_^

according 2 me God does exist......as der many unsolved mystry in nature...which till 2day no human has found solution

many Questions lyk...hu created d universe....hw did life come into xistence...etc....arnt answered

many researched r conducted bt still d ans 2 such Questions remains a mystry...

Sociology as a discipline teaches dat man started worshipin the forces of nature to deal with his own fears and out of this an elaborate system of religion was created with all its rules and regulations. It helped bring out law and order and effective functionin among the people.
I am a stauch believer in the Supreme Being, however religion as it is organized today with all its do's and dont's dont facinate.
All da major religions of the world teah equality, respect for all, love,humanity..
So if ur refferin to da concept of a God who will punish and judge i do not agree..

The answer to this question is both, yes and no. Yes as GOD exists as a power which coordinates the functioning of the entire universe & no as the various God's ( i.e. different names of him as we know, but I strongly believe GOD IS ONE IT IS JUST THAT WE VIEW HIM FROM DIFFERENT POINT OF VIEW ) is our attempt to manifest this power into human form.
So GOD is the belief of a person is the SUPREME POWER.

my words will not convince those who dnt blv in GOD... but still i'l say.. yes GOD exists... he is not any man made thing.. infact man is a GOD-MADE thing..
