i don't think that sms will be outdated after some time because India having large number of population and using internet GPRS 3G will not be reachable to every one so far only 45% of Indian using mobile and out of them only 5-7% using this technology rest depend of sms still it will take long long time to use this instead of SMS

GPRS and 3G has come. ya i agree that sms will be reduced heavily. After getting internet connection I am not even recharging my mobile.

Sms are quite used among youth's but it will be an outdated concept in next few years. Technology is doing a great job, so in future we may have some good substitute for SMS................

Yes i think SMS has outdated concept now and everyone is using the internet i.e 3G, 4G for the communication. Today it is the generation of social media networking. There are many applications available now where can get in touch with our beloved ones, friends and family at the same time.
