SRM University, Sonepat, Haryana announces admission to SRMH Common Admission Test (SRMHCAT 2014). All India Entrance Examination for Admission into first year B.Tech, B.Com, MBA, MBA (Integrated), B.LIS, LLB, M.LIS, M.Tech & Ph.D Programmes. Academic session begins from 02nd July 2014.

• Commerce - Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com)

Postgraduate Courses:​

• Master of Technology (M.Tech): 2 years
• Library & Information Science - Master of Library and Information Science (M.LIS)
• Management - Master of Business Administration (MBA)
• Humanities - Master of Arts (MA) (English)

U.G. - P.G (Integrated) Courses:

• Management - Bachelor of Business Administration / Master of Business Administration (BBA+MBA)
• Legal & Paralegal - Bachelor of Arts + Bachelor of Law (BA+LLB); Bachelor of Business Administration / Bachelor of Law (BBA+LLB)
• P.G & Doctoral of Philosophy (Ph.D)

Eligibility Criteria for B.Tech

• Appearing in written test:

• Candidates must have passed 12th or equivalent examination, recognized by State or Central Education Board
• Candidates must have taken five subjects in 12th. He/she must have studied Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/ Biology* as core subjects in 12th.
• Eligible for admission in B.Tech-Bioinformatics only.

Admission

• It is required to score at least 50% aggregate in the qualifying examination i.e. 12th Board Exam

Eligibility Criteria for UG/ PG/UG - PG (Integrated)/PhD Courses viz B.Com/ B.LIS/M.LIS/LL.B/MBA/M.Tech/M.A (English)/MBA (Integrated)/ LL.B (Integrated)/Ph.D:

• B.Com:

• Candidate must have passed 12th Standard or an equivalent exam, recognized by State or Central Education Board.
• Candidate must have taken five subjects in 12th Standard. He/she must have studied two papers from amongst Accountancy, Business Studies, and Economics & Mathematics with 50% marks in aggregate.

• MBA (Integrated) / LL.B (Integrated) / B. LIS

• Candidate must have passed 12th Standard or an equivalent examination, recognized by State or Central Education Board and must have obtained 50% marks in aggregate.

LL.B, M.A (English), M.LIS and MBA

• Candidate must have passed graduation or an equivalent exam in any discipline from a UGC recognized University with 50% marks in aggregate.

M.Tech (Mechanical Engg):

• Candidate must have passed BE/B.Tech in Mechanical Engg/Production Engg/Automobile Engg /Industrial Engg / Aeronautical Engg & must have obtained 50% marks in aggregate.

M.Tech (Computer Science & Engg):

• Candidate must have passed Bachelor’s degree in Engineering / Technology or an equivalent degree in an appropriate area or M.Sc (Computer Science/Information Technology) or MCA and must have obtained 50% marks in aggregate

Ph.D:

• Candidate must have passed Post graduation in the relevant discipline from a UGC recognized University with 55% marks in aggregate
• However an applicant with M.Phil or JRF/NET cleared in the relevant subject is exempted from Entrance test

Pattern for SRMHCAT 2014:

• RMHCAT will consist of 100 questions carrying 300 Marks. The correct answer for each question will carry 3 Marks. There is no negative marking. The Medium of language for questions papers will be English only
• SRMHCAT will be conducted in both Offline (Pen and Paper Based Examination) and Online (Computer Based Examination) only for Candidates applying for B.Tech/MBA/M.Tech Courses.
• B.Tech the entrance examination would be held through online as well as offline mode and they can choose their exam mode as per the preference and convenience
• B.Com, MBA (Integrated) B.LIS, M.A. (English) and M.LIS courses entrance examination would be conducted only by offline mode.
• MBA and M.Tech courses entrance examination would be conducted only by online mode

SRMHCAT 2014 Admit-card:

• SRMHCAT 2014 Admit-card can be downloaded from university official website Join SRM University of Sonepat | SRM University Haryana from 15th May 2014 onwards, if you have submitted the application form successfully (both online/offline)
• On obtaining the Admit-card, it must be verified carefully.

• Last date for submission of SRMHCAT Application Form (Offline & Online): 10th May 2014
• Offline Exam for B.Tech & Others Courses: 25th May 2014 (Sunday)
• Offline Exam for MBA (Integrated): 27th may 2014 (afternoon)
• Online Exam for B.Tech / M.Tech/MBA: 25th May 2014 (Sunday)
• Declaration of Result: 10th June 2014 (Tuesday)
• Commencement of Counseling: 20th June 2014 (Friday)
• Last date for payment of tuition fee: Within 7 days from the date of Counseling
• Commencement of Academic Session: 02nd July 2014 (Wednesday)
