Assam JAT MBBS test is held by the Director of Technical Education, Assam. The purpose of this test is to select students for admission to the MBBS course conducted in colleges of Assam. This is a test conducted at the state level. Natives of Assam are eligible to write this test. This test is conducted yearly, mostly in the month of May.


Structure of Assam JAT MBBS

JAT MBBS is conducted through two papers. First paper comprise of Physics and Chemistry with hundred questions for each of them. Second paper is Biology with hundred questions. Each paper has to be attempted in 3 hours. There is no negative marking for this exam. There are questions of objective type nature. In that case candidate needs to select their options. Subjective type questions like writing an essay on a topic are also asked.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates will be eligible only if they are 17 years old.
Nativity of candidate should be Assam.
Candidate should be plus two pass in first attempt under Assam Higher Secondary Education Council or equivalent recognized university
Candidate should possess 50%u0025 in English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology. Relaxation is given for SC/ST candidate with 45% for SC and 40% for ST candidates.
How to Apply?

Applications forms are available in technical universities specified by Director of Technical Education. If an applicant prefers to collect form by post then he/she should send Demand draft drawn in the name of Director of Technical Education. Then they will get application through post. For that applicant need to send a self addressed envelope.

How to fill the Form?

If applicant is applying through website then he/she should follow every directive specified there. Any mistake will cause the rejection of application form. The part which specifies category should be filled carefully. As there is reservation specified for this test, any mistake will deny relaxation. Recent photograph should be placed if specified. Block letters is preferred while entering name, address etc. Applicants preferring offline should fill the form personally. Overwriting application form is not a good practice. Those applications will have chances of rejection. Completed application form will only be accepted. Incompletion will cause the rejection of application form. Applications should also reach the center within the period specified.

How and Where To Get the Results?

Website is available for accessing results of Assam JAT MBBS. Website is Directorate of Higher Education, Assam . Candidates can know the results from Assam Gazette. The Directorate will publish it there. Newspapers will also give results as given by the Directorate.

Score Validity

After qualifying Assam JAT MBBS candidate will get a score. Score will be valid till the end of admission process. After this duration this score will not be valid for admission.
