I am Chinmay Mhaskar, member of the large, "disillusioned" community of BMS, graduated from MMK college, Bandra (Mumbai) in 2003.
I studied Japanese language through out my 3 years of BMS. Don't get me wrong. I did not learn the language, as a hobby or just to kill time. have alwas wanted to make use of it in my profession.
I joined Patni Computer Systems in the sales support group, after BMS and am now in Japan, in the frontline sales function.
Language has helped me a lot in climbing up the ladder (not that I have climbed it up too much..).
I believe if one wants to join up the sales function, knowledge of foreign language will definitely give him/her an edge over peers in being placed in the geography.
Trust me, it does not take much to manage BMS and foreign language study simulteneously.
This is for all those who have just joined BMS. You can definitely look at this as one of the options.
