The discussion over refugees is turning too dramatic in the past few days and the photograph of young cute little boy Aylan clad in a red t-shirt facing down on the beach without a soul in Turkey shows that this is the high time to take action. There are countries that are coming out to support refugees and providing them with all the amenities they needed. Now, even the social media has started playing its magic and people are generating donations through Facebook, twitter and other networking sites to help refugees.

The Creative Collective has raised the money for the non-governmental organizations Calais Refugee Support and Syria Relief Charity, which both provide help to the refugees to start their new life with peace. The Facebook has been created by Fionn Wilson and Bo Gorzelak Pedersen to raise donations and money will be used to provide aid to refugees. Fionn said that the idea originated from wanting to help the refugee crisis and being part of a wide creative community on Facebook. Artists tend to be cash-poor and product rich, so a donation of artwork was an obvious idea.

Till date the campaign has received a wide acclaimed for their work and raised a ginormous amount, the counting is still on. So far we've sold around 200 artworks and we have around 200 for sale. The current total stands at £8,300 and we've been going for just under two weeks. It's staggering. It goes to show that the overwhelming feeling amongst people is of sympathy for the plight of the refugees and one of wanting to help. She added.

A note has been posted by Creative Collective for Refugee Relief on Thursday, 27 August 2015. Please note: Prices INCLUDE postage and packaging FOR THE BUYER (ie the ARTIST pays postage and packaging) and ALL proceeds go towards refugee relief. Please MESSAGE US HERE if interested in buying. All works for sale are capped at £100 to encourage quick sales. Work donated by children is selling at £10 and we're selling work by established artists for amazing prices from £20-£100.

Artists are submitting their work without any advertisements or profit because it is solely base for the charitable purpose. Fionn has selected the charities which takes strenuous effort to deliver the items most needed to those on the ground.

We found two charities which, as part of lots of other great work they do, also actually get stuff to people on the ground via donated items. At the end of September, we'll shut up shop and, with the grand total, divide this equally between Syria Relief Charity and Calais Refugee Support. We'll talk to both and ask exactly what they need - this may change by the time we get to the end of September. For example, Calais Refugee Support really needed waterproof stuff last week because of the rain. Fionn said.

If any artists wish to join the movement and want to donate his artwork, they just need to get in touch with the page they have created. You can visit on ‘for sale’ album page and users can buy the painting from there. Users can also pay via PayPal and artists will send them the work after confirmation of donation.
