The recent change in the exam pattern of the civil service exams has been something that has been much talked about.

Nowadays, the pattern and the syllabus of the civil service exams have being changed the exams will be generally known as Civil Services Aptitude Test (CSAT). This change is partly because of the government to choose the right candidates with the right aptitude and attitude also.

The entire papers will be having the multiple choice questions. The changes in the Civil Service exams have already come in to existence from the year of 2011.

The pattern for the exams in the second stage being the main test and the personality test in the third stage will remain the same.

Netra Agreed :)

Civil services are one of the important competitive examinations which are held in the country. The level of competition will be much higher when compared to nay other competitive examinations. The main idea being the individuals needs to be focused in every aspect while attending the exam.

Basically, the whole exam pattern is too vast. The dilemma of the students that how they do need to cover the different areas involved in this exam. A clear and focused plan should be prepared by the individuals to succeed in this area. Usually there will huge surprises in the Civil service exams with regard to the type and area from which the questions will appear.

In almost all the competitive examination, the number of questions will be usually very high. The students are not being expected of answering all the questions but on the other hand how easily and utilizing how much time an individual solves or answers a question is the main criteria.

The relative problem solving capacity and the accuracy of the candidates with regard to the questions is a predominant factor. The student’s ability to deal with the complex problems is the main aspect that will be checked. Many sample questions will be published by the UPSC which gives the students a clear idea regarding the pattern and the type of questions involved. This will motivate the students to prepare more.

yess netra totally agreed

The pattern change in the Civil service exam is certainly an advantage as it may help the students to get relieved instead of getting tensed thinking about the exams. Aptitude test requires lost of practice and practice. The candidates need to devote their full attention in this area for high results. They should continuously practice and get familiar with the type of questions appearing in the exams. Success can only be achieved through hard work, dedication and commitment towards what ever you are focused in to.

The reactions regarding the particular changes in the Civil service exams have been mixed among the students. Some are happy with the changes but on the other hand some are not. The usual preparation patterns that one used to follow from some time back has to be changed suddenly due to the pattern difference.

The most significant concern among the students is regarding the English comprehension topic – the students who are not so proficient in this area because of having done their education in regional schools will suffer a lot. They will be finding it difficult this part of the exam on a whole. On the other hand some are of the view this type of pattern change will enable them to prepare for the exam in a more simple and systematic manner. Even if, the individuals who attempt the Civil service are not able to crack this exam, with this level of preparation and knowledge they can try in for other examinations such as Banks etc.

Whatever may be the change, whether it will be positive or negative success in this area will be possible only through constant effort from the part of the individuals by and large.

It is still the most preferred career option for those few who are passionate about the entire system. The competitiveness is still on a high for civil serves and definitely people are aware about the level required to get oneself in successfully.
