Folks,

Since last two days in each and every english daily and other newspapers we have been seeing the ad campaign by the ADAG group putting the petroleum minsitry into the focus and its alleged role of favouring RIL.

The thing to note is the way the campaign is throwing up questions to generate public and national intrests as well the intrests of the shareholders of RNRL. The other point to note is not often many companies have come public and issued ads which are critical of the government.

And this is the first time the government is pushed to the corner in the name of public inetrest and that too where the fued is between the two brothers.

So guys what do you think....Is Mr Anil Ambani using the print media for his favour or he has showed us a new way of opposing the government policies or if I can say the new Ad Guru.

yes Rohan i agree to your point here...Mr. Anil Ambani loves his coterie of media people and his speeches are always made for the gallery. You got to love his speech writer.

someone should learn how to conveniently ignore the facts and twist it for personal benefit... going by the government stand, RIL has been rightfully told to be just a contractor and forget all rights and freedom to sell. Did the Bombay High Court judgment completely ignore the Government's representations?
 
I agree. Everyone has freedom to share their point of view, whether you agree with that view or not. Print media is an excellent medium for public consumption.
 
yes it is truly a new way of doing it...corporate lobbying now has come out in the open...
but reading the advertisement ... i think it will really gather a lot of interest among the people...
and yes if its in public interest to publish this information,,i think anil ambani is in his own way fulfillin a social responsibility...
 
Yea Kalpana even i am wondering why did the Mumbai High court gave the judgement in RNRL's favor without even taking into consideration the Government's views and more importantly Anilji has also brought the govt. navratna NTPC into the gas fued. The thing to note is the ads is just targeting the alleged RIL gaining 50000 and others gaining a paltry sum.

Now the power ministry has given out a statement that they dont wont to interfere into the Ambani fued....I just fail to understand what's the govt. stand and at this point of time govt really seem to be clueless what to do next.....

i am also havng d same point of view that ADAG is using their right to expression n freedom to speech by arosing Awareness among RNrl shareholders n common masses.The govt. in general n pertroleum ministery must clarify their stand for favouing RIL in RIL-RNRL deal.
 
ADAG may or may not be right - but then they, both Ambani brothers are vitiating the business environment of country through allegation and counter allegations. If there is a dispute, it could always be resolved through the proper channels - this all is a stunt to get more of paper and media space. I do think the old Ambani would never have approved such cheap tricks.
 
yes..i also agree with what ADAG is doing, when nobody is actually listening to you, then you are left with no other choice..........
 
anil has a habitof taking the junta for a ride .

his reliance power issue was over priced and designed to rake in the moolah unlike anyother reliance offering it wasa loss making decision.

anil understimates the junta and its intellegence
