A PROJECT ON HOTEL WASTE MANAGEMENT

Industrial activities generate waste, some of which fall under hazardous category. Continuous and proper disposal of hazardous waste is necessary for sustaining future industrial activities. The hazardous waste (management and handling) Rules, 1989 were notified by the Ministry of Environment and Forest under section 6,8 and 25 of the Environment Protection Act, 1986. Currently these rules are applicable more than 40 processes are selected with threshold limits the rules also list waste applicable for export and import. Implementation of these rules is through the identified State agencies viz. State Pollution Control Boards State Government (Department of Environment).
