Eligibility and Rules
1. Anyone may nominate a Thunderbird alumni entrepreneur or the Thunderbird alum
entrepreneur may nomination themselves.
2. Nominees must be a graduate of Thunderbird School of Global Management.
3. Businesses with a Thunderbird alum as a key partner in the businesses
management/ leadership team are eligible. **Nomination must focus on the
entrepreneurship skills of the Thunderbird alum.**
4. Entrepreneur must have successfully started, managed and grown a business or
substantially lead the turnaround or growth of a business or managed a larger business
in a way that has demonstrated notable entrepreneurial characteristics and
achievements.
5. The entrepreneur’s involvement in the business must be for at least a 5 year time
frame.
6. Nomination form will be posted on the Thunderbird web site until March 8, 2010.
Recipient will be announced March 19, 2010.
7. Nominations may be submitted in either electronic (PDF) or hard copy format.
8. Nominations must be submitted to [email protected] or Katherine
Hutton, Walker Center for Global Entrepreneurship, Thunderbird School of Global
Management, 1 Global Place, Glendale, AZ 85306-6000 USA prior to 5PM mountain
standard time, Monday, March 8, 2010.
9. Nominations must be submitted in Arial font size 12 with 1” margins. Response to
sections I, II, III and IV may not exceed 8 pages.
10. Nominations will be judged by faculty from the Walker Center for Global
Entrepreneurship and members of the Walker Center for Global Entrepreneurship
Advisory Board.

Winner
The 2010 Thunderbird Alumni Entrepreneur of the Year will be featured in Thunderbird
Magazine and have a Case Study developed and published on the entrepreneur and
the development and growth of their company. This Case Study will be taught at
Thunderbird by the Walker Center Faculty in their Entrepreneurship courses.
The winner’s Case Study will be considered for inclusion in the world’s leading
textbook on entrepreneurship and the Case Study Clearinghouse at Thunderbird.
