This text is an exciting introduction to a list of Bollywood films anticipated for 2016, written in late 2015 or early 2016. The author aims to highlight a promising cinematic year, moving beyond the perceived shortcomings of Bollywood's typical reliance on actors over strong narratives.

Here's a review:

Review of "11 Upcoming Bollywood Films You Cannot Wait Till 2016" Introduction

The introductory passage effectively sets a conversational and engaging tone, directly addressing the reader with a mix of light criticism and genuine enthusiasm for Bollywood cinema.

Strengths:

  • Relatable Critique: The opening lines, "Bollywood is totally depended on the actor and give the least importance to stories of the films. Stories! Who Cares?" resonate with a common sentiment among discerning movie-watchers. This immediate, relatable critique establishes a common ground with the audience.
  • Acknowledging Nuance: The author quickly balances the criticism by acknowledging that Bollywood has produced "rich quality contents" and "myriads of brilliant movies with powerful social messages," demonstrating a balanced perspective rather than outright condemnation.
  • Building Anticipation: The core strength lies in its ability to build excitement for 2016. Phrases like "2016 is going to be the potboiler of suspense, thriller, and entertainment" and "increasing the heat among viewers" create a strong sense of anticipation.
  • Direct and Engaging Language: The use of "Believe me, or not, we love Bollywood, even if the story is too cheeky or sleazy" adds a personal touch and reinforces the love-hate relationship many have with the industry. "Well, I won’t keep you waiting; here is the list..." is a good transition to the main content.
Areas for Minor Refinement:

  • Grammar and Phrasing:There are a few grammatical slips and awkward phrasings that could be polished for smoother reading.
    • "Bollywood is totally depended on the actor and give the least importance to stories of the films." -> "Bollywood is often totally dependent on actors, giving less importance to film stories."
    • "Well, there are Bollywood films which have dabbled with rich quality contents but, censor board didn’t want that these films reach to the audiences." -> "While Bollywood has dabbled with rich quality content, some films faced hurdles from the censor board, preventing them from reaching audiences."
    • "Either, their film is dabbled in emotions or copied content from various sources." -> "Their films are often steeped in emotions or feature copied content from various sources."
    • "which is full of entertainment and worth watching it." -> "which are full of entertainment and worth watching."
  • "Dabbled": The word "dabbled" is used twice in a slightly awkward context ("dabbled with rich quality contents," "film is dabbled in emotions"). A different verb might fit better in these instances.
Overall Impression:

This introduction serves its purpose well. It's lively and direct, successfully building enthusiasm for the upcoming list of films. Despite a few minor grammatical quirks, the passion for cinema shines through, making the reader eager to discover the promised "potboiler" of 2016.
