the necessity of the income tax

The necessity of income tax

In India since the British reign, a direct tax is practiced. It is called the income tax. It is generally levied on a person’s income. There is a slab rate of this tax which varies from year to year. Current slab rate of income tax for an individual is given below:

Income level Rate of tax
Up to Rs.50000 nil
50000 to 60000 10%
60000 to 150000 20%
Above 150000 30%

Now the most important question is why should we pay income tax? The answers which are available to this question are discussed below:

WE USE THE RESOURCE OF THE GOVT.
My answer:
Yes, we use the resource of the govt. but we pay price for them separately. Suppose Mr.x wants to start a factory in Bangalore. For that purpose, he needs land, labor, capital and managerial ability.
Among this 4 resources, land and capital belong to the govt. capital includes say, only electricity, capital equipment and water. For using these resources, x has to pay the following prices:
Sl. No. particular Price of resource Amount (Rs.)annual

a land rent 100000
b labor wages 200000
c electricit Electricity charge 350000
d water Water tax 300000
e Capital equipment Acquisition 1000000
maintenance 250000

After paying for all resource necessary for a factory, x has a profit of Rs. 100000. This profit is a reward of his managerial ability. Now can you say by what logic a govt. can claim a part of the profit as tax? The profit which is a reward of an intellect, which is generated out of one’s intelligence and not by the govt. can’t be claimed by the govt. it is someone’s reward.

TAX ARE USED FOR DEVELOPMENT PURPOSE

My answer:
Really? Are you sure? Have those politicians given any account on how your tax money is spent on the development of India?
Friends I don’t think that income tax is justified. Because the income itself is a reward for an excellent ability of an individual. Many people who r using govt. resource can’t generate profit because of the lack of ability. How govt. can claim a part of it? By what right? It is unjust. Don’t you think so?
