umbai is the source of livelihood. Majority of people come here to earn and live, so that they can make their life better than they possess. But the condition is that one has to keep on struggling. Due to this merciful nature of provideness, mumbai is surviving. If it is not true, then despite of 26/11, why people are struggling here? Just for their livelihood, here majority of people after 26/11 don’t feel safe. But as most of the people don’t possess any employment in their villages, that’s why they come here. Even majority of people having their emotional touch with the lifestyle of Mumbai, so whatever may be the things happening in Mumbai worse or good, they want to live here only. People who were born and brought up here have got a strong bondage of love with this place. Thus, Inspite of the unsecured feeling, majority of them think that to have something is better to have nothing.
It has been over a year since 26/11 has passed, however yet no effective actions have been taken by the government. Today, there is no doubt in the minds of people that our government is coward. Instead of hanging kasab our government is spending Crores to protect him. Govt has spent lot of money for his security but yet no compensations are being provided to those who lost their lives in 26/11. This has proved that the terrorists in our country are much more secured than us. If a common man executes murder, he is penalised by the death sentence, but if terrorist is massacring innocent people then our government is having a lenient approach towards them. So our ideology of gandhigiri remains well flourished. Is our government still waiting for someone who is going to repeat the Kandahar Hijack?
We the Mumbaikars are also equally responsible like our government. When a golden opportunity came in front of us, we have neglected it completely by showing our poor attitude towards our voting rights which again provided a chance to this government to come back who is actually responsible for those attacks. We are just burning the candles, showing sympathy towards the sacrifice of those who lost their lives and telling to the world this is our Mumbai’s spirit. No, this is only the tendency of not taking actions. Thus we can say that though the mumbaikars has picked up the memories of 26/11 in their mind, but still they don’t know how to tackle with problems which is really needed to change mumbai. For making mumbai more secure we need to adopt certain changes in our legislature, fast track courts should be started , people should take interest in their voting rights and youngsters should come forward to solve the problems of nation by forming a political party. The only thing here we can conclude that now security threats have become part of our life.
