Yum Brands, operator of KFC, Pizza Hut and Taco Bell said half of its 2007 operating profit would come from outside the US as it grows in China and India. Yum, based in Louisville, Kentucky, has been placing greater emphasis on its international businesses as KFC and Pizza Hut have enjoyed strong growth in China and other markets like France, India and Russia. “There is no reason why KFC can’t be as big as McDonald’s around the world,” Graham Allan, president of Yum Restaurants International, said.
