SAFE MODE..!! At 7.30 the nite was young but people were just waiting to groove on2 DJ AKBAR & DJ NOTORIOS MOVES. The assistants were early (IST) & it seemed they were trained to kill people with bad music.. Seemed like people just got into groups seeing the brilliant lites & decor arranged by xion team..!!

Well If u were there for the 1st hour & u thought thats gonna be the mood for the night, than u in for a big shock..!!

AT 8.20 came the saviour of the nite

Yup thats right what u thinking two "Men In Black" with their ammunition were in @ 8.20 DJ AKBAR SAMI & NOTORIUS to save the day..!! Suddenly the place was packed with people yelling their throats out..! The Jalwa Beats put the crowd on they heels. It seemed like Apni to paath shaala... & Say Na….. were among the top favourites of the crowd with people being tossed up & down and human trains being formed all round the place.. A battle of moves was among elite dancers reminded me of Nach Baliye..

Danke ki Chot !!!! (Street Play)

Danke ki Chot was the first event to be held on the 2nd day of the fest ie today. Well, to be honest, the response was not as it was expected. Probably that was because of the timing of the event. It was kept to early.

BUT BUT BUT the home team, NMIMS displayed their skills in street play and trust me when I say, it was fantastic.

When I first reached the college campus, I saw a group of ppl dressed up traditionaly (semi-traditional that is) and performing some kind of an act at the Quadrangular. On watching it for sometime, I realised tht they were rehearsing for the actual play....

Shortly, later the actual play began and I was really impressed at their agression, their devotion, and the creativity including their dialogues..... The basic theme was on the Indian Freedom Struggle and its relevance in today's world. It was fantastically directed and all the actors did a wonderful job.....

All in all, this event proved to be a little damp, but for the home team's performance !!!!

Bartending Workshop !!!

Now this was something everyone on the campus was excited about. And why not !!! The Bartending Workshop was one of the highlights of the day. It happened in two sessions. The first session was attended by around 30 ppl while there was an aoutstanding response for the 2nd session with 60 ppl just running in to attend.

The workshop was conducted by Mr. Vinglic Rebello who had come with his entire team of bartenders. We had been given an entire list of 25 mocktails that he was supposed to prepare. After reading the names of the mocktails, I forgot my name !!!

On a serious note, when he made the mocktails and explained the ingredients and the process, and then ultimately, when we were supposed to taste the drink, I was happy. It was a fantastic experience mainly bcoz I now knew how to prepare a mocktail and how to make it taste better.

Some of the mocktails made were:
Mango Blossom
Lady in Red
Banana Delight
and lots of them....

But my favourite drink was Jamaican Night Out which was made of Chocolate Syrup, Vanilla Ice-cream and coffee powder to be blended together with crushed ice and chocolate stick to top it up as garnish. It tasted yummy !!!! I am surely goin to make this one at home.

Well, to sum it up, the Bartending Workshop was something that was worth attending. The idea, the speaker, the organizers, the drinks everythng deserves an applause. A real goody !!!!

I have not yet recd the details of some other events of the day from the NMIMS ppl, which I had attended.... Will post the details of many other events tomo.......

Damn.. you could taste all the drinks... Now im thinkin.." WTF .. why d hell did i nt attend it :(( "

It's interesting to see tech students having such creative events. This was one of the star events at nmims. The event Rang De Basanti was attracting the masses being on the center point of nmims it was all about bringing the creativeness outside.. Participants were provided a time limit of 15 mins and provided spray cans and canvas to outreach they depth of heart and bring in a solo wall piece. This event has been put onto a two day schedule.. So participants on DAY 3 have an eye on it..!!

Comments:

Sonia: I loved the idea of keeping such event wherein there a lots of colours and allowed to have own creative space.

The events was a late on the start which stated less participants on this event. A closed room in lost world where masterpieces were created so wasnt much known to all crwd what was happening down there..!! The participants were provided with art material and wine glasses to create a masterpiece of they own.. I brought along with me a glimpse of some masterpieces created.. Thought the event looks easy like a pie surely needed a creative hand on2 it..!! The event can be rated good though an open surrounding would surely have given an enchanting look..!!
