With Chinese mobiles comming in Indian Mkt,will it pose a threat to other mob brands

No, I do not think this will the Indian Market in the long run. As of now, many middle class segments are going for the Chinese mobiles. But as per the government notice they are going to be banned as they do not have the IMEI No. so in the long run they might vanish as fast as they had appeared.

As far as i have seen no people will buy the Chinese mobile who are brand and quality conscious , these mobiles are mostly bought by low income group of people who doesnt care about brand & quality , & those who are ignorant about the defects in these mobiles .
As per the new rules implemented by Govt of India , these mobiles are banned as they are not having International Mobile Equipment Number (IMEI) , So according to me it wont much affect the sales of BRANDED MOBILES .

I would b a complete liar if i said all china products lack quality.
Far as i know even NOKIA has a large chunk of manufacturing done in China & Nokia is one of the most trusted brand of India. Just checkout ur Nokia battrey n u'll know.

Although after the ban i think this question no longer exists but if u take my openion, It is only China who helped in the communication boom. Those who could never afford a cellphone & just DREAMT about owning one now prowdly flaunt their touch screen phones n play loud mp3(Which is not cool guys, stop makin urself look like a lunatic)

Today even my sweeper has a cell which not possible without the ALMIGHTY China phones...

As far as a threat, Ya the lower income section of India(which is in abandonce) do not have to save up on a large chunk of of their hard-earned money to buy a Nokia cell....

chinese mobiles cant compete Indian brands or brands performing in India.....
its all cause of poor quality and no guarantee of chinese mobile..
they r just like toys.. which r to be used for a very short span of time..

Who said Chinese products dont have quality??? China produces most stuffs for USA... even surgical blades are made from china!

Quality control is to be implemented NOT IN CHINA>> but in our COUNTRY to check quality of import goods.. if we dont restrict.. chinee will send us low-fi goods to us and hi-fi ones to usa and all!

Chinese people are very smart they are able to produce cheep products with standard quality is truly a mystery but as a study was put by one of my friends from Philippines "a single parts is outsourced to many company in bulk processed together and sold" he said two of the same product(phone) contain similar parts(memory) from different company & not like nokia sony Motorola where 99.99% quality is maintained

i dont think that china mobiles big competition to indian mobiles..... because when u see the service after sales .. this point one the major point to decided the purchaser.......

yes obviously these will affect the market but we should also remember that they do not possess a unique pin no. in absence of which they will not be able 2 operate in india after a few months. the reason is that trai has made it mandatory that all handsets have a unique id which these chinese mobiles do not have.

I dont feel so the chinese goods pose a threat since indian consumers puchase it cz its cost effective... when customers buy mobile phones they dnt mind spending if the product is good and perception of indian people wrt to chinese goods is very poor

i dont think so it would affect these brands at all, coz the Indian mentality in changing from cheap products to quality products... people are ready to sacrifice for the money if they get gud quality & trust... so i dont think i would pose any threat to other brands...

Previously, it was posing some threat to the Indian market but i think now people run away from Made in China products....
and apart from that after sometime these will become obsolete from indian market as it is posing threat to nation and government has already banned its usage

Survey instrument. In their search for questionnaires used in previous studies on this topic, the authors located a study by James M. Comer, Karen A. Machleit, and Rosemary Lagace on job satisfaction of industrial salespersons that used a model much like the one they had proposed for the present study.15 The aspects of job satisfaction measured in this study were attitude to the job, relations with fellow workers, supervision, company policy and support, pay, promotion and advancement, and customers.

Off coruse, it is threat to Indian mobile market ;coz Indian user is more price sensitive than quality & brand sensitive. more tha70 % people r price sensitive . morover look of chinese mobiles is good enough to attract mobile lovers.:SugarwareZ-290:
thank u
good bye

Chinese products cannot compete NOKIA with capabilities & aesthetic features.
In INDIA people dont easily shift to the new product available.

I too heard of many chinese products which would concern to other manufacturers..........

Whr r the chinese cycles which were supposed to hit indian market.

It will not cause any problem

heloo frnd,
coming to the topic, accroding to me even though chinese mobile are cheaper but now a days indian people prefer to go for brand name, even though they are expensive.
and since govt has restricited the chinese handset all others competitiors had gain a competitive advantage...

China mobiles are surely cheep but they have -ve features as well
They r:
Not very user friendly
No auto GPRS settings
No standardisation
Bad battery life
Low quality plastic
and few more i m sure.
