Will the real estate prices ever encounter a correction?

Nightwulf

Melvin Lobo
Defying all logic of economics, the real estate prices in India, specifically Mumbai have peaked to such an insane level, that it forces me to wonder whether all the education we receive in B-schools about ethics in business actually apply. A clear case of cartels, sometimes I do wonder whether the much touted correction which the experts do believe in their wisdom, will actually be achieved..
I have been hearing about this correction since ages, but nothing seems to be mowing down the acute enthusiasm, of all those involved in the real estate business, to name the price which no common salaried man is ever able to fulfil.
Lemme know what u guys think. Cheers!

yes real estate prices will have an correction. if we see the land prices are soaring high.moreover the land prices are different in various parts of india. if we take tamilnadu prices vary in chennai and coimbatore.reason?demand and willingness to buy at price quoted by real estate people.in coimbatore if the price is not siutable no will buy it but in chennai the scenario is opposite.now people have started releasing their mistake

There may be some minor corrections, but on the whole I do not foresee any major corrections anytime soon. Mainly because the economy is growing and credit is readily available. There is also a high demand for real estate, especially in metros, which is not going to reduce anytime soon for the simple reason that the population of these regions is increasing.

Example of USA will be quite effective in this discussion. Generation passed but reality prices made a new high every time unless 2006 came which began last peak in reality. Realtiy prices are not merely dependent on Market in india as we majority are still not dependent on private jobs alone. so our pockets are never so dried up as develop nation had in times of burst. We will have years before we see reality getting affected with economic condition as our real estate companies are not yet so leveraged hence regular cash flow at a good pace is still not the main concern. The day it will be, we will see them suffering on margins and prices slowly cooling down
