Why is sex the top most searched online content by kids ?

Sex was a hot online search topic for children, according to findings released by Internet security specialty firm Norton. While the top three search terms for Internet users under the age of 18 were YouTube, Google, and Facebook, the words "porn" and "sex" took the next two positions, based on data from Symantec-owned Norton.

I guess these terms should raise a red flag to parents and due to this kids are exposed to many cyber threats which later on becomes addiction for them and it will pose problems in future for them. So how parents should handle this sort of situation where kids do these things and it will be difficult to keep track of these things from parents side.

nice one, ya may be kids would try some thing else and the thing which they get attracts them more than what they actually wanted. so in any ways kids are after all kids and they stick to the thing that gives them more enjoyment.

parents shud use firewall or key logger on their pc so they can track wht their childs are doing.

Why shouldn't kids search for it? after all, in a few years they themselves are going to indulge in it (forgive me if i am wrong, this is just a personal opinion). I am saying this because many Indian parents are conservative and usually prefer not talking about these things related to sex with their children, because of which, there is a general curiosity in the children to search for such things. If parents are able to communicate with their children on this topic, then i am sure children wouldnt rely so much on the internet for such things.

this is a general curiosity in the children to search for such topics it depend situation at home first... parents need to tell them openly about so they can discuss with parents to avoid situation like not worst for them. i know it hard to indian families to teach them but now time have been came when we need to be friendly with kids....

if you getting support and open discussion at home then why kids go to discuss with friends out side of home think about this
