Why is Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's pregnancy hyped?

this is going on from long time the day when AB released the news of being happy being a grandfather on twitter the media had gone crazy behind it........the news of her bachhan's bahu getting pregnant is hyped on media like total madness.......why is this the situation these days.......her career options and her future is discussed and what not........why every small incident that happens in these celeb's life given so importance.............??

Because of our Indian Audience!
Whatever Media does is by looking into the needs of its audience, which is called as "potential or target audience". Because ou audience wants to watch such content more than anything else, Media is just trying to cater to these needs!
For instance, take this general talks forum , highest stars are given to the threads like "LIST DOWN UR FAV LYRIC" or "ur chance to become a film critic ". Why ? Because Indian audience is so used to and wants this Masala, everywhere!

the way u have explained providing the audience what they want...........but this principle is relative in satisfying the basic needs and the everyday needs of the people..........

and not everything and nt at all these news............it simply similar to a situation wherein a child says i want xyz thing and since he being a child and since he wants it is given to him it is nt even thought whether giving them would be beneficial or no

has the role played by media gradually changing and if yes y so?????? y is it becoming consumer centric rather it being a firm platform to deliver news or relevance........and quality not just bollywood gupshups

Ohh c'mmon Sunanada, Media is not audience' parents, neither is audience as stupid or innocent as children.And yes I agree, Media has become consumer centric, or we can say 'more business oriented' and forgotten its role, but then , audiences know very well about all this, we are not so stupid as to not know what is the motive of media behind all this. But still, do we still, try to behave/act differently?
