WHY COMMUNICATION (ENGLISH) IS SO IMPORTANT

well...communication in english is so important in our country as it is one universal language that can be used for day-to-day normal communication, business-related activites..and it removes all obstacles of communication as ppl in india belong to diverse cultures and speak different regional languages..with the advent of globalisation , FDI pouring in..english has become mandatory!!

The English language contains about 490,000 words plus about 300,000 technical words. It is doubtful if any individual uses more than 60,000 words. Written English uses about 10,000 words while spoken English, by the better educated, uses about 5,000 words.

Effective communication in the English language requires that we follow a few simple rules that can be learnt and practiced by anyone. We just need to keep in mind the purpose of communication.

i agree with you, in todays scenario of mnc's its very essential that you have good communication skills, afterall you represent the company!!!!!!!!!!

human being is a social animal..n in dis glabalisation scenario one can not only be limited to its own national knowledge.therefore to stand equally among competitors one need to be sharp n fluent enough in English becoz dis is the only common language followed all over d world.:typing:

bcoz eng is an intl lang,///////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

English is an international language, a common language brings efficiency gains and its the best way to reach and connect to larger audience.

it's important because english it's the first langauge in the world and all the world use it in global communication if the aren't understand the same mother lang

Communication does NOT mean just the language - English in this case. It is how effectively one sends a fact/ an instruction etc. across to somebody else (individual or a group) in an effective way.

In our country too, English is important, because this not just the lingua-franca of business but also a common language for (almost all of) us - in fact a language to communicate and yes, to excel - the new "Sanskrit"(or any other ruling language) of the day...perhaps this is the reason that even those opposing it never forget to teach themselves / their children this language.

Hi..
Yes, Communication(English) is very important, because it helps in :
1) Expressing what we have done to the best of our capabilities and a real indicator of our work.
2) Asking relevant information which could enable our learning and fill in the gaps.
3) Bridging the communication gap between team members.
4) English being the common language of business across the globe, above points fits in and since companies look for these attributes, institute look for the same....

we are living in an globalised era, our economy is not a closed economy we have to interact with other nations for advancement in various areas for that purpose we have to learn a language 4 exchanging our views. ENGLISH is now a global language and very essential for not only self but also for nations development.

We want to know other prople's view, feeling, ideas and want other to know our thoughts, feelings & views. For this we need to communicate as that is the only way.

I believe it is not the language you communicate in, but the way you communicate that matters. Even if a person is not well versed in English(except if his work requires him to be), if he/she can put convincingly put across a point then it will be heard and appreciated.

well its only through communication that thoughts can flow and which is very important for any issue

Communication is an integral part of our life. The language need not be very flowery but it should be clear and the message should be properly conveyed.
