why bihar ,up ,orrisa etc r not catching up with rest of nation

:SugarwareZ-064: India is growing at more than 8.5%since last 5 years...its a very gud acheivement and creating a lot of wealth ..but while the states of gujraat maharashtra n suthern states r growing at rapid pace eastern states r not showing any sign of improvement...wt is stopping tham from catching the bandwagon the whole of nation is riding on..wt is it that is stalling the progress of this states???:bump:
is it due to govt apathy or due to ppl of this state ..r they no industrious..?i dont think it may b reason becoz these same ppl r doing good outside..wts the malase that is stopping this states..let us hve a thought
 
the real problem with this states is lack of vision among the politicians..they think only for short term..hw to win the next election..if they start thinking abo;ut long term how the state can nenifit,,which projects to undertake..hw to involve ppl in development work than most of the problems can be solved..its gud that orrisa govt is taking initiative for development ..it will b better if other states also followe..
 
Poverty, politics, bad infrastructure and illiteracy .

Eradicate those and you can see some turn around.
 
der is lack of opportunities der... so da very less literate populatio0n migrates to da cities lyk mumbai...

also da corruption among da politisians is wat keeps dem from progressin...

Completely agree with kartik...
but one of the major problem is also with thier occupation....70% of the population is engaged in agriculture which makes the major difference...


Whereas Orissa is concerned, it is on the developing phase..

Since major international and domestic players have recently announced a spate of investment in the sectors of steel and aluminum in the state..
and it also has the proximity to China and south east Asia...
 
ya really the major problem is illitracy ..in bihar for instance litracy rate3 is only 52%which is dismal :SugarwareZ-064: ..situation is not much better for UP ,Jharkhand n Orrisa ..they also lag behind the natoinal average ..
for real development not only govt but the local ppl should take initiative..they should not look only at govt for employment they should look for self employment...

orrisa is definitely on development path with many projects coming up...lets hope othes also take a clue from orrisa:SugarwareZ-229:

true.... the politics i very bad, but in't it there that corruption is the root cause? Who all are these people? They are very much like u and me.... However what actually makes them bad? Can a good fish really survive in this pool of bad politics, when the rest of them are bad?

Don't people prefer to give bribes to some govt. babu to get their work... yet the receiving end is always the politicians... I'm not saying that they're good, but i feel that people are as much to be blamed as the politicians. If people really dare and stop he corruption manifesting in them, then i feel this problems are really be countered...

Handful of corrupt politicians are able to exploit the country due to people's ignorance, their illiteracy and their vested interests.

but the tragedy with this states as one of the posts above suggested is that most of the talanted ppl have migrated in search of better options ...corporates r not willing to invest due to lack of low n order n also talent and non cooperative local bodies...:SugarwareZ-064:
 
ITS not a puzzle ne more da..major reason 4 non.development of these states is POLITICS n CORRUPTION n this is bcoz in these state the main problem is the system!! there the leaders hav no job otr than campaign for the elections....this also has a reason as they r biggest of the territories n r quite influential @ the center....for eg UP has max value for their votes in the presidential election!!!(plz refer ET-sat 23 pg 3)
and u ppl r rite so many of these ppl migrate 2 mumbai.....i just hope they dont make the same thing 2 AMCHEE MUMBAI!!:fear:

i have a simple answer for dis!!! D POLITICIANS R BUZY FILLING THEIR POCKETS!!!SO WHERE WOULD THESE STATES PROSPER FROM??????????
 
lack of awreness among ppl about happening aorund th wolrd and illiteracy over and above dirty politics....ppl need to open up towards development and adapt to changes....gender discrmination needs to be removed frm minds of ppl and education needs to be imparted to the children ...
 
these states need visionary leader who can work for ppl ..remambe before chandrababu nayady andhra ws also considered a backword state but his leadership change it all..such leader is required to change the situation:bump:
