Major social issues we need to tackle
There are many social issues which need to be tackled before we can say that India is progressing towards being a developed economy. Issues which can be considered are, poverty, unemployment, illiteracy, health services, poor sanitation, corruption and list is endless.
However we must identify the root cause behind all these problems, for example we say that there is adamant corruption in the whole system, but why there is the corruption, because of loopholes is legal system, why there are loopholes because, people are not aware of their rights, why people are not aware of their rights because they are uneducated.
Similarly people are poor because they do not have jobs or opportunities they are unemployed because they are uneducated.
Thus I feel that at root cause of every problem is either illiteracy or poverty.

i find the major issue that needs immediate attention is "I". the moment we will start taking responsibilty of our acts towards our country and thining of "WE" instead of "I"while doing profit ,am sure all other problems will get solve in less than a decade.
fr corruption, poverty and all there is no definite check taht can be kept as the officer u appoint fr those checks again need to be checked by others fr his performance!! saem applies ecverywhere. you can nnot have a 100% monitoring system. so better we should change ourself. instead of poking our nose in wat rest of the world is doing, we should check wat we are doing, or more precise wat i am doing.
this we can learn from japanese who have seen many upstrides but still have a mark in being the most honest person in world!!!
so no "I" but "WE" is the solution to every problem!!!

According to me the problem is.....
1. Presence of law only in the laws books
The government should implement those laws and educate children about it in schools. Like in foreign countries even kids are aware of their rights which makes them a powerful youth.
2. Stop animal v/s man fight.
Stop thinking that animals dont need attention and der are more problems in india like poverty n stuff. Evryone has a right to live and you cannot decide who should live on this earth. Like we saw how brutally street dogs were killed in kerala. Care for them n let Animal care institutes or NGO's take care of them n give the power to do so.
3. Updated education.
Teach students what the market demands of them...We have irrelevant things in our books n even after graduating u are not competent enough. y? then teach them wat is required n thus a huge population of unemployment will go away.
4. qualification N retirement in politics
IF a peon should be ssc pass then a Prime mimister n MLA's should be PHD. !!!!!!!!!!!!!,,,have some qualification and retirement restrictions for them...that would help to evade lot of unwanted people
5. Corruption
ohhhhhhhh........ at can we do about it??????????/////
I think we should try nto bring capitalist market in india to evade bit of corruption.....

I wud say poverty and illiteracy are the basis for all the prblms burning now.But first and foremost wud be the poverty.We have to get rid of poverty first.Only after feeding the people we have to give them the education.

ppl todday only kno to sir back and crib on things.. ye nahi hua .. woh aisa kyui hai... govt kuch karti kyu nahi..
wht cant we make a change as it is said . BE THE CHNAGE U WANT TO SEE IN THE WORLD...
the next thing is make politcis more attraticve ask any kid he/she wants to be a doctor, engg or a IT proffesional.. no one is intreted in politics and the ones who r intretested the society doesnt help them to become one...
the main and the most biggest is the population- family welfare and family planning needs to be implimented... like china one chlid law needs to be strictly implemented... once population is controlled major issues can be resolved.. like we learn tat population i main cause for all the social problems in the world..

Yes poverty is one of the main issues n the root cause. But can we depend on eradicating poverty first? how will a country with such a massive population of people below poverty line remove poverty? Can we give some lumpsum amount to each person? Illiterate won't know how to save n spend it wisely....n then they'll be poor again.
What i am trying to say is that we can't just focus on poverty. We need to tackle poverty and education together. When we educate people for some profession or work they'll have some idea how to earn money and gradually we can remove poverty... So all the problems like poverty, eduction, castism, corruption.....etc etc should be solved together because we are having different department to look after each problems....
Guys, all our taxes goes to each such deapartments too...

yes., the problems are endless and the mentality of the people has to be changed too.
And to tell you y we are not attracted to politics is that IT DOESN'T REQUIRE ANY QUALIFICATIONS. We students think in the straight direction to study, work n then earn! On the other hand in politics we spend your life lying n making a series of criminal record and when u reach a mid age do u start earning moolah creating controversies. As said in Times of India.. every politian is having a criminal background in the past!
I think many don't want to have such a disgraceful life and so we dont think being a politian!

1. The rate of literacy in India even though in urban areas v seem to hv a better literacy rate lets not forget that major part of our country's population lives in the rural areas.
2. Corruption in every possible sector its nt only the goverment
its the others who support the corruption who are often not mentioned bt yaa as a responsible citizen v shud try 2 stand up against it i knw its sounds very im practical aty times bt ther has 2 b a start somewhere..
3.Women always face the glass celing
everyone talks bout men n women bein equal however its stil prelevent in many places where women are not given the recognition they deserve

according to me social problem includes poverty,corruption,unemployment opportunities,population explosion which are somehow related to each other. People with enough knowledge these days also doesnt show any interest in solving the issues or at least by finding ways;they are busy wid their own problems. to solve the problem of social issues each and every indian should be united first and then the other stuffs like creating awareness among people reg.family welfare and planning which would atleast reduce population.if population is under control then simultaneously evrythg can be put under control.but corruption is a factor which would be controlled by posing strict law by the govt atleast to a smaller extent.

well i think the five major issues we need to tackle are:-

2) better education;
3) poverty;
4) pollution and garbage;
5) unemployment.
this issues are not to be tackled by government alone, but it is our stringent help and supprt will help us to eradicate this evils.
