Which one should you prefer the govt sector job or the private sector job ?

There used to be a time when the existence of this question itself was a question in itself. But now a days situation is changing. So, which sector should we prefer, the govt job or the private sector ?? Well, we all have an idea of what both of them mean. In govt job the job is secure but may be promotions are slow, while in private sector, if you have the caliber and perform good; then promotions are quick but no job security, you may be fired the very next day..
Its an open question and I think everyone will have a different view on this..

If we work in govmt sector it may help us in one way or other. Lik pension, retirement pemium and policies, cash renel etc but there should be only minor increase in our salary. If we are doing a govt job its make us hard to leave that search for another job. The pvt sector d'nt gives us these benifits but yes if we want to go abroad with sum experience then i thng pvt is better.Most of the people like government jobs because,
1) job security
2) less responsibility
3) more comfort
4) promotions are not dependent on talent
