Which is the Best Mode of transport

By viewing the present situation, especially the traffic jams, the best mode of transport is walk by oneself. It will help not only in saving time and also in keeping good health.
 
i think trains are most comfortable as u reach fast as well as u hav seperate compartments for boys n girls.....(useful during rush)
 
public transport system is the best...if it is in place one doesnt need his/her own individual vehicle...lesser traffic on the roads
 
The modes are best suited for the time to spare, distance to be travelled and what luggage is being carried along with. Infact the water ways if developed properly with proper standard designed ferry, would turn out to be best for the two ends of mumbai, while hinterland it would be appropriate for bus, car, taxi and auto
 
in my opinion, this question depends on the geographical propoerties of a region. if it is flat, bicycle is the bes. (ex:netherlands) trams can also play a supportive role in this case.

however other than that underground will be a good option.
 
Public transport are the best mode of transport if it provides the good connectivity..The way delhi Metro is spreading its wings across Delhi and getting popular every day; I hope other metro cities will follow it very soon..
 
I still think its the railways the best mode of transport, since it is cheaper and at the same time faster for the common people in India
 
A good for nothing chief minister that we have here in Delhi, who said had it not been for the Commonwealth Games, Delhi wouldn't have seen so much development, lends to the fact that people have to little to look forward to from the local government. Transport, well these nimrods actually think BRT is a good mode of transportation in a city as densely populated as Delhi. I live along that line, and now it takes me more time to travel the same distance... which is a pain. Personally speaking i could save both money and time if i travel by a bike. Previously using a bus was a cheap and fast option, not any more so (especially where i live).
 
Trains. and airways. As trains are very good and faster. These are the best modes of transport. I often travel by trains everyday.

As far personal opinion is concerned, I would vote for rail transport. No doubt they are over crowded and don't drop off at the door step, but today most of us are concerned with travelling quick even though it involves 10 mins of walking to the destination from the drop off point. road transport is convenient as well but today the roads are so much jammed up that one cannot make it to the office on time unless they leave the house earlier than they usually do.
 
As per my view railway is the best transport in Mumbai. Mumbai railways is the world's the most busy railway transport according to the study. But people choose which is better auto, taxi or railway according to their convenience.
