where is the media heading to...!

with the election , it seemed like not the policiticans but the media is designing the power delegation of the country
every media house is busy witht heir own views , reviews etc..
where exactly are we heading to
democracy is decided by all the people or just a section of the People .....the media
 
Media heads us to no where... it jus hypes everything... to increase the TRP.. the main aim remains not to provide news but to increase the TRP!!!
 
hi. new here. and interesting to know that views on the Media are the same everywhere. did you check out the forwarded mail that is doing rounds. It explains the ownership of most of the channels and how this largely influences what we see on TV everyday.
 
The other day there was a blast in the midnapore in West Bengal on the election day. A news channel was showing the blast scene. It was so horrific. There are parts of human bodies lying in that area. They are busy in saying that they were first news channel. They were least bothered as what they were showing.
 
Absolutely true..... They have all the time in this world to showcase stupid hour long 'special episodes' on the famous n idiotic catchlines of so called bollywood *stars* but not enuf time to give some useful info on backgrounds of candidates standing up for elections to help a common man.... SICK
 
actually this is an era of competition and all the field are touched with the competition so as there r lot of competitors in media also so media jus want to show that type of program which seems to be interesting irrespective of that it may hamper the society.
 
the MEDIA todday is shifting from SERVICE ORIENTED to PROFIT ORIENTED.
today theres; so much competition in media industry that the channels are fighting to show their iron.
and in this fight of superiority, somewhere the prime aim of a MEDIA FIRM, to provide unbiased news to the readers is lost.
