Leaving a company is sometimes a very easy decision to make. Especially when the company has given you enough reasons to resign such as job dissatisfaction, unjustified salaries, unacceptable policies etc. They make your decision easier with every passing day and your decision to leave them becomes very strong. Such companies usually lack employee engagement and is rarely exposed to the reasons behind employee’s leaving. Or do we say they are not really interested in knowing the same.
Companies which are not concerned with the increasing number of leaving people, can rarely find reasons on their slow growth. That is because, company spends sometime in training people and by the time he/she becomes ready to face the responsibilities, they leave. Company has wasted its time & money on hiring, training and then replacing the resource. And this cycle becomes a vicious cycle. The organisation just gets stuck with this routine and in a way finds it difficult to move forward. Such companies also face criticism from the ex-employees and usually spread bad word of mouth about the company leading to less and less people willing to join the company. The HRD in such companies faces the hard time finding good talent for the company and even if they find and they join, it becomes hard for HRD to retain them.
On the contrary when you talk about companies who take care of their employees as family members and who see to it that all their grievances attended to immediately, they make the leaving decision all the more difficult for employees. And in such situations you become emotionally attached to the company and when the time comes to leave such organisation, employees really tend to have second thoughts for the same.
I have always followed one expert advice given to me by someone that “never during your stay with any company, get emotionally attached with the company, you can to people who work there”. True but when you get attached to people or your team working there, you do get attached to the company because then you start enjoying your work with this team and everyday becomes a day of work hard and party harder. Such companies do have good productive work force as they are happy working in a happy atmosphere.
No matter when and why do you say that you quit, you should always remember the good things about your last company and people and carry a happy memory of the same.
