Actually, this topic shud have been discussed 2 mths back... when IPL got finished.........

Anywayz............

Let's now disucss,

As a management student, Which management skills, we can learn from Cricket Legends, like Shane Warne, Clive Lloyd, Wasim Akram, Sachin Tendulkar, Steve Waugh, Don Bradman, Glenn McGrath, Kapil Dev, etc. ....... to develop our career ?

we can learn lots of things.. it tells us that what can be acheived if people work in teams n have common goal.. it can be linked to the theory of goal congurence in an organisation..

hey the most important learning is that one should never write off an underdog and secondly self beleif and motivation par excellence can produce results which can stun the world

shane warne is a player of gr8 calibre...
hes a good captain, leads by example....
if his controversial or personal life is kept aside he is one wud like to lead like...
a team player....
many wins fr rajasthan still to cum under him

Its abt how average n common guys if pool together with extra grit and determination, single minded devotion make a difference. Something the Lankans did in 1996 WORLD CUP.
It happens coz nobody is projected bigger than the game, ther r no STAR players like other teams to bank on. Each individual makes a difference.

Shane proved dat he's an outstanding captain....its a bit disappointing 2 know dat he never got an opportunity 2 captain his national side....but had it not been 4 IPL, world cricket wud hv never witnessed the brilliance of his Captaincy....As a management student, ders a lot 2 learn...u can relate anything n everything wid his style of leadership...a perfect example of an 'Employee-friendly' leader who led his team 2 victory....also,another stricking method in his captaincy was his innovation wid regards 2 the fielding positions n composition of bowlers....Really,his success is much more appreciable.

Lessons from Shane Warne and Rajasthan Royals --
Most expensive players/teams only need not be match winners but under-dog teams can also do well..There was no brand ambassador and glamour like Priety and Katrina...Shane Warne motivated the players very well and made them understand their roles clearly..Warne and G.Smith maybe rivals but when played together used all their experience and also boosted the morale of youngsters.. Shane Warne led by example by hitting boundaries off A.Symonds against Deccan Chargers an turned the match.. What more can we expect of him as a captain ?? He was a true hero and RR deserved the trophy very much.

most important quality is leadership quality he displayed, he was not frm India...2 main players of his team Tanver and Yusuf didnt knw to spk or even understand English..still he mange to win IPL...
