Brain Gain is a term we are hearing a lot in media these days in India.

The technical definition of "brain gain" is an increase in the number of skilled, foreign-born professionals entering a country to live and work where greater opportunities are offered.

However in the Indian context, it'd mean Indians or children of Indian origin returning back to India for the new found opportunities it offers.

It's completely opposite of brain drain which means Indian's moving abroad to pursue further studies and opportunities.

The new Standup India, Startup India policies have started to show some positive signs for the economy.

Wouldn't you agree?

Reverse brain drain is a form of brain drain where human capital moves in reverse from a more developed country to a less developed country that is developing rapidly. These migrants may accumulate savings, also known as remittances, and develop skills overseas that can be used in their home country.
