What is the difference between CAT and CET ?

Yes, basically MH-CET is for MMS ie, Maharastra mba institutes.

CAT is for institutes all over india.

Except that, there are PGDBA ie diploma courses, offered by various institutes, who accept CET / CAT / ATMA etc entrance exam scores.

CAT is the exam conducted by the IIMs in Nov every year. CET is conducted by the regional colleges eg. Maharashtra, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, etc and each have their own CET exams. In mumbai, the mumbai university awards u MMS instead of MBA for many colleges.
