Recently when I was doing research on project on RETAIL OUTLETS, I came across that,

"This may not work out in India.

For one, we do not have large sized refrigerators like in the U.S. So buying in bulk and storing the items cannot be done. People prefer to buy from the nearby shops things that they require immediately rather than stocking up on things.

Remember Walmart had to close down in Korea just for this reason. Also, the average size of the Indian home is much too small for bulk purchase and storing.
It just won't work out here. "

What is going to happen? And what will u do, which one would you prefer???

I dont agree with u.
Indians have been doing retailling frm the first civilisations but as far as modern day retailling goes I agree that there might be some infrastucture problem but with the brands like Reliance Subhiksha and recently wal-mart entered india this is very much possible
 
ya India has lot of potential in retail business and private players who hav entered into retailing are performing really well....tak for example Reliance...
