A Joint Working Group of the Governments of India and Finland has been set up to identify and discuss issues of bilateral cooperation in the field of environmental management including waste management from time to time. In so far, as specific technologies are concerned, clean technology companies from several countries including Finland are interacting with organizations in India to offer new technologies on commercial basis.

This information was given by the Minister of State for Environment and Forests (independent charge) Shrimati Jayanthi Natarajan in a written reply to a question by Shri K.J.S.P. Reddy in Lok Sabha today.
