VISVESHVARAYA GRAMEENA BANK
Vishveshvaraya Grameena Bank, a Regional Rural Bank, established by the bank in 1985, has been making good progress. The VGB has a total network of 25 branches in Mandya District of Karnataka State.
As at March 2004, the total deposits of the RRB stood at Rs.66.13 crore, as against Rs.54.72 crore as at March 2003, registering a growth rate of 20.85%. The total advances of the RRB stood at Rs.54.31 crore as at March 2004, as against Rs.43.82 crore as at march 2003, registering a growth rate of 23.93%.
The RRB has achieved targets under various parameters as per the MOU entered with the sponsor bank.
The VGB has also taken up various measures to strengthen its financial position and as a result it has recorded a net profit of Rs.2.23 crore during 2003-04, as compared to Rs.1.63 crore recorded during the previous year.
