General Information:-
Ghani Oil Industry under the fold of KVIC has made considerable progress during last four and half decades. Initially during 55-56 there were only 7067 traditional as well as improved bullock Ghani and production was worth for Rs.42.00 lakhs. This figure has now multiplied into manifold. Besides, the normal programme of KVIC, other schemes likes REGP, Margin Money and C.F.C also help the growth of this industry.



Why Ghani Oil?
a. Ghani pressed oils being cold drawn around 60 degree Celsius retain natural nutrients, natural characteristics aroma, taste, pungency, colour and vitamins whereas the machine pressed oils lack these properties due to high temperature generated during processing of the seeds as the crushing takes place in between metal parts.


b. The Ghani oil is good for health since it is consumed in its pure and natural flavour/form.


c. Ghani sector helps in solving the problem of rural unemployment because it possesses potentiality to generate employment.


d. The Ghani Industry strengthens rural economy, as raw materials are available locally in rural areas.


e. Since the level of production in Ghani is very small, the chances of adulteration are very rare.

g. It does not create any urban problem involving congestion, water supply etc.
