VIJAYA RURAL DEVELOPMENT FOUNDATION
Vijaya Rural Development Foundation was promoted by the bank in 1990. The Foundation has been carrying out yeomen service for more than a decade in promoting and fostering scientific, educational and extension activities in the field of agriculture and rural development.
The Foundation has identified 15 villages for intensive development and formed Village Development Councils to have effective people’s participation. During this year, VRDF has conducted 38 training/awareness programmes, covering a wide range of subjects, benefiting 1307 persons.
Free health camps have also been oranised for the benefit of rural poor. Post training follow up has also been taken up to ensure that the trainees are settled in gainful self employment ventures
