The Bank did well in the area of balancing of books of accounts with 100% of the branches having balanced their books of accounts at the end of March, 2004. Good progress has been made in the elimination of old outstanding entries pertaining to various sensitive accounts.
The Bank has also made very good progress in the reconciliation of inter branch entries. All inter branch entries relating to the period upto 30.11.2003 have been eliminated. Thus, the bank is two months ahead of the Reserve Bank of India stipulation that no entry remains outstanding for a period beyond six months. The reconciliation statements in respect to inter branch entries have been drawn upto March 2004.
