Vehicles need is Petrol not water: HPCL, BPCL, IOC Petrol price hike

Beta, Gaadi Petrol per chalti hai, paani per nahi. This is the famous one liner taunt on us for excessive use of vehicles and we get frustrated with this line. Well, Hindustan Petroleum Corp (HPCL), Bharat Petroleum Corp (BPCL) and IOC, hike in petrol prices is prevalent and even it take strenuous effort to control our usage but, it seems like exceeding the limit leading to tearing our pockets and making it void. Petrol price again hiked today by 64 paisa a litre but, diesel prices was cut down by Rs 1.35 per litre. However, this is increase in petrol for the third time since May. Petrol in Delhi will cost Rs 66.93 per litre from tomorrow instead of Rs 66.29 at present. A litre of diesel will cost Rs 50.93 per litre as opposed to Rs 52.28, Indian Oil Corp (IOC), the nation’s largest oil company, said.
"Since last price change, there has been an increase in international prices of petrol while international prices of diesel have shown a downward trend. Indian rupee-US dollar exchange rate has depreciated during this period. Combined impact of these factors warrant an upward revision in prices of petrol and a downward revision in prices of diesel, the impact of which is being passed on to the consumers with this price change," IOC said in a statement.
"The movement of prices in international oil market and rupee-dollar exchange rate shall continue to be monitored closely and developing trends of the market will be reflected in future price changes," Indian Oil said. Petrol in Delhi will cost Rs 66.93 per litre, but, that seems to be less as compared to Kolkata (74.42), Mumbai (74.78), and Chennai (70.12). After reading this statistics, I would also start follow and reverberate the taunt which seems annoying but truly yearn to utter a dialogue which says that, Beta, Gaadi Petrol per chalti hai, paani per nahi.
