TVS Motor Company has registered 3.92% increase in total sales in October 2013 which stood at 1,97,905 units as against 1,90,438 units in the same month last year. The company’s total two-wheeler sales stood at 1,89,979 units in the month against 1,86,376 units in the year ago period, up 1.93%. Domestic two-wheeler sales surged 1.78% at 1,73,229 units in the month under review against 1,70,273 units in October 2012.
Moreover, the Motorcycles sales grew by 13.30% to 82,352 units in October from 72,687 units in the same month last year, however scooters sales decreased by 4.20% to 42,124 units as against 43,973 units in the same month last year.
The exports during the month grew by 24.73% at 23,154 units in October 2013 as compared to 18,563 units in the corresponding period last year. Two wheeler exports registered a growth of 4.02% with sales growing from 16,750 units in October 2012 to 16,103 units in October 2013.
The company witnessed a significant increase in sales of three wheelers with sales growing by 95.13% from 7,926 units in October 2012 to 4,062 units in October 2013.
