Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti is a unique step taken by Government of India for spreading awareness about school education in India and elsewhere. The function perfomed by the samiti includes selection of talented rural children and then providing them the best quality education. Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti is determined to provide or make good quality education available to the poor or infact rural kids. The main idea behind the establishment of such samiti was to uplift the children with special talent or aptitude. Serving the objectives of excellence coupled with equity and social jusctice and promotion of national integration are two of the major objective of the samiti.

Job Profile:

Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti is making recruitment of eligible candidates on the following faculty positions of Trained Graduate Teachers. The vacancies of Graduate Teachers is available in the subjects of Englsih or Hindi or Mathematics or Social Science or Science. Candidates will be selected on direct recruitment basis in the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas various districts of the country.
 
Eligibility:

All interested candidates are required to have age less than 30 years as on 30 September 2011. The prescribed are criteria is need to be followed by the candidates or else their applications will not be considered by the Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti. Relaxation in the maximum age limit may be provided to the candidates belonging to reserved categories candidates.

Educational Qualification:

Candidates are required to possess the prescribed minimum educational qualification set for the post of Trained Graduate Teachers. Candidates having qualification less than the prescribed one, will not be considered for the post in Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti.

No. of posts: Several posts are available.

Pay Scale: All selected candidates will be given the prescribed amount of salary i.e. Rs. 9300-34800 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 4600.
 
Application Fee:

Candidates are required to send the application fee of Rs. 500 in support of their completed application form. No fee is to be submitted by the candidates belonging to SC/ST/PH/Ex-Serviceman categories. The application fee is required to be paid by the means of a Demand Draft only. The draft should be made in favour of Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti payable at Chandigarh.

Selection Process:

The selection process includes a Written Test or Examination which may be followed by a Interview test. Candidates will have to appear first in the Written Examination. The written examination will consist of two papers:

Paper-I: General Awareness, and
Paper-II: Reasoning and Language Paper.
